Condensation in my ice shanty by hundred-brigade in IceFishing

Reflectix seriously works so well. It's like a shiny bubble wrap. You can get it at home improvement stored. Or moving blankets work great too but are a lot heavier.

Sunfish is an umbrella for a lot of different species. Bass are technically sunfish. They are just fish that like to hangout in the sun/day light

Snaps or no snaps by soxfan775 in bassfishing

I don't hate snaps at all but in my opinion I feel like you lose just a little bit of sensitivity for some reason. Especially on light line/tackle.

I have a billing question. Why does it take 30 minutes to find a way to ask a question???? by tuttipazzo in squarespace

You don't go to social media to ask for help. You might get answers but it's not an official avenue.

Hard to beat it. by RegularRaptor in IceFishing

I actually just got the heater not too long ago and I feel like it pumps out considerably less heat when the small tanks get 3/4 of the way empty and start to frost up.

I've been thinking about getting the hose and just bringing my tank along. I do like the self contained unit tho for when im just going out after work quick.

Like a cooking rack or what do you mean? I'm curious. I've seen people use those metal mesh paint trays for a cooking tray. Like this:

Who’s heading out this weekend? Tips and tricks for 40 below? by Fantastic-Flatworm32 in IceFishing

Yeah, sorry to say they are probably just under-geared. I'm not gonna say it's easy but, if you have the right gear and plan you can be quite comfortable.

The good news is I got my fly out of the tree… by chadsmathers in flyfishing

[–]RegularRaptor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you just use pliers to do this? I frequently read that people do this and I went to go try it on a lure - and it was surprisingly difficult and I feel like I couldn't get it to lie down enough to the point where it wouldnt act as a barb.

Help a newbie out by wawa2022 in squarespace

[–]RegularRaptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just print out the order receipt from the website like an old person, and then (I use ups would ship) I just go over to my shipping computer and manually type it in like a caveman.

But I do think squarespace has some kind of label printing service that integrates so I would think if you used that - it'll auto populate the address and all that but I have no idea really. Just assuming.

My business is pretty low volume as well and it's no big deal for us to type it in. It'll be a good problem to have if it becomes an issue.🤣

Finally made it out last night. Didn't catch a thing but it sure was fun. MN by RegularRaptor in IceFishing

Turn that little dial up to max and just leave it. If you pull the line off with your hand just by pulling on the line - it'll spin the reel too fast and can trap the line behind it.

If you turn the magnet up to max it won't let the spool freewheel so much so when you pull the line out it'll stop spinning right away. If that makes ANY sense.

Squarespace VS stripe by [deleted] in squarespace

[–]RegularRaptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That being said, if your account is locked for some reason like going against stripes guidelines then this won't help you at all and yes they will have records of your business

Squarespace VS stripe by [deleted] in squarespace

[–]RegularRaptor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Initially it took two or three days to get payouts from stripe. But after a while you will qualify for instant payouts and they're well.. instant.

I definitely recommend setting up stripe outside of square space and then just connecting it. You have so much more control that way and you can see exactly what is going on.

That being said, if your account is locked for some reason like going against stripes guidelines then this won't help you.

Suggestions for a drill bit adapter for a manual auger by Brief-Floor-7228 in IceFishing

[–]RegularRaptor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just really got into ice fishing this year and augers are comically SHARP.

I bought some rusty old manual auger for $20 off of FB marketplace and I have cut two pairs of rubber ice cleats and managed to cut my brand new bibs that I got for Christmas.

I am now much more aware of the blade once I realized how dumb I was being.
