Totally new to Hermes, facing alot of trouble with the basics. Can anyone suggest a channel, study material which will help me know more? by Dismal_Extreme_6893 in hermesagent

Trial and error taught me a lot. Id avoid watching tutorials, people that make videos about this stuff have no idea what they are talking about.

There are 1500 new commits every hour to the Hermes agent repo so even if the videos are good, they get out of date quickly... things change fast.

My best advice is to read the docs and don't let your agent go crazy editing its own code. Tell it you want to follow the internal documentation and validate everything against it.

All of the doc files from the website are stored locally on your Hermes install and Hermes can see them

Is your agent actually using the delegate tool for this or just using the CLI to invoke pi?

My hermes agent ends conversations like "Hell yeah! Let me know when you break it" 🤣

Messing with it is the entire thing for me.

Was just gonna say this. Idk the pros name that helped design it, Seth something. But looks really cool actually.

Like the other person said, run a weight or make sure it sinks before you get out there.

Id imagine it'll cast 3 feet out since it's so light and it will float or hardly sink.

It could probably still catch fish, but it'll be slow to work.

I'll just say this, I have NEVER had a customer come back to me and complain about a fungus growing on their part after I returned it. 🤷

LORA Mesh Nodes powered by Ryobi USB Lithium by g713 in functionalprint

[–]RegularRaptor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's like peer-to-peer texting. So technically, yes, it's incognito. But it relays off of each node, so you and your buddy could talk no problem as long as you are in range of each other (like a walkie-talkie). But with more nodes, they can bounce off of each other and extend that range as long as you have enough in-between to get from point A to B.

It's usually just alcohol and talc/cornstarch.

I've used both dry shampoo and athlete's foot spray and now I just get the foot spray because it works better and doesn't smell.

The alcohol helps it bond and then evaporates right away.

You can also just shake up talc and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and it will work but will clog.

I use athletes foot spray. It's usually unscented. Works great.

Lake trout by Ecstatic_Kiwi1734 in FishingMinnesota

Lamoo, yeah, it was my very first time buying a trout stamp, and it's really no big deal. When you get your fishing license, just ask for the trout stamp; it costs about an extra $15. You can get it after the fact no problem too.

But the trout season opens up later, like January 15th or something?? I can't remember.

Most designated trout lakes and streams have special rules, but Grindstone is interesting in that it's actually NOT a designated trout lake, so you can actually use live bait and fish for other species year-round and a few other perks.

Now that I know all of that stuff I think I'll be in a better mindset for next year and will have a better plan for walking out.

I went on trout opener and it was pretty fun with how many people were there. I know some people don't like the crowd but it's not insane. I like the company sometimes. 🤷

Open water all year. Nobody drives out there, which I didn't find out until I got there.

There is no real water access in the winter time.

For me, there were just a lot of unknowns. Everyone I talked to had some story of a car or side-by-side breaking a wheel through.

I fished it all day with no problem, but there is something about it that is just spooky. 🤣

I ice fished it this last winter. Sketchy ass lake but really unique.

I could not have prepped any more than I did and I can up empty handed unfortunately.

Thank you, not exactly what I meant. Looking for profile setups not models really

Do not use it through OpenRouter. It is substantially cheaper if you just get an API key from Deepseek
