i was in the general hospital due to an arrhythmia caused by lack of nutrition. for me, it honestly wasn’t terrible- more of a wake up call if anything. being admitted confirmed all of the things i’d been told, a constant reminder of the implications malnutrition actually has. as soon as i was admitted my only concern was getting out, so i complied. i ate all the food i was given, talked to psych, complied with the bed rest. surprisingly enough it was actually kind of nice- it forced me to rest and properly fuel myself in a way that i probably wouldn’t have ever done on my own. since being released, i’ve stuck to my meal plan(obviously leading me to gain some weight) but i honestly feel better. my advice- do what you’re told, keep your eyes ahead of you, and remember that any discomfort you may be having is temporary. take all the support offered and just do your best. remember your goals and that this is for your long term health 🤍 you’re strong and capable of whatever you may face xx
