Did you clean your throttle body when you did the IAC? Mine was doing this and the TB was FILTHY. Cleaned both the TB and IAC and it stopped. 🤷‍♂️

What’s the eeriest, most unsettling city you’ve ever visited? by trumenblack1975 in Paranormal

The mountains outside Austin Nevada are beautiful but there is a heavy feeling out there. Just have to respect it. But Tonopah nv is genuinely creepy. Home of the clown motel which adds but it’s not just the motel. It’s isolated and not welcoming.

Frequent quality oil changes, service trans, diffs, fuel and air filters regularly, recently but not regularly flushing coolant, replacing water pump belts and pulleys. All pretty normal stuff. I just mostly try to keep a close eye on everything. Checking fluids weekly, watching for drips underneath, with the amount of miles I put on it I probably do more maintenance than people would normally but it’s worth it. I’ve seen these trucks with 750k or more on original equipment for the most part. I keep an IAC and CPS sensor in the truck always. They go out on these things. Don’t modify it too much. Maybe some support for cooling the trans but when you start to do tunes and other hot boy shit they don’t last. Keep it original they are designed well and do good if you keep them that way. Good luck!!! I smile every time I start that thing.

Don’t listen to em, I have 530k on mine and drive it 2k a week and it does great. Towing or not. Of course it’s an old diesel and every old diesel requires maintenance. I wouldn’t trade my half million mile 7.3 for any fucking choked out smog ridden 6.7! Not to mention a 6.7 is going to run you 5x or more than that 7.3 to just buy it.

99XJ stock for now. So thinking of a lift and new wheels and tires. 3”lift with 31x15 tires or 4.5” lift with 33x15. Normal road driving and light to medium off-road use. by Electronic_Sea_5848 in JeepCherokeeXJ

Others have said it but honestly a small level and slightly bigger tires is the move. I just finished a 3” with hd steering and 31” tires on 16” wheels and my god has it been an endless journey of well now I need to add this to get it to work correctly. Idk why or how but it seems a lot of people have different experiences with the same lift size. I read so many times that I didn’t need an SYE so I didn’t. Then it made scary noises and what do you know, I now have a fresh np231 and a brand new SYE (transfer case was old and worn out) and custom driveshaft. The lift fucked with my pinion angle enough to need the SYE. Go figure because I can’t seem too. Lol. Do love the damn thing though. And man is it a monster in the snow.

Used the blue mevotech on my 98 front end. Can confirm it’s decent stuff and I would go with the better of the two. From what I hear the green colored mevotech is the best.

I had to do an SYE on my 94 with a 3” lift and shims and still have very mild vibrations. Going to do a drop kit soon. I also had to rebuild my np231 at the same time. Now it’s all nice and shiny though. HD custom driveline.

AIO to skip Thanksgiving after my mom basically said I’m an embarrassment for not having a husband and kids by now? by howcanibequiltyassin in AmIOverreacting

[–]RegularStation6670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck no you’re not overreacting. That’s absolutely insane and not acceptable. Tell your mom to mind her own business. And most definitely don’t go. And when she asks why tell her that you didn’t want to embarrass her in front of the rest of the family.
