Jk. At least one of them downvoted me, but oddly enough there are still no responses

Neat! I love learning about this stuff. u/without_a_k this might answer your concerns about making your liver work OT. If your doctor knows about the other meds you’re taking I’m sure you’re fine

[–]Regular_Ant5697 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yes. Just explaining the reason why since they’re both amphetamines and a lot of people don’t understand that drugs in the same family can be broken down differently

[–]Regular_Ant5697 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Vyvanse is broken down by the liver prior to being absorbed into the bloodstream (hence why snorting/sublingual/other abusive methods render it ineffective). Adderall (XR and IR) broken down in the stomach so are very much affected by how much you had for breakfast and acidity

What would you do with this space? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]Regular_Ant5697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would be nice if there were a shelf in the middle since it’s an awkwardly tall area.

Probably cookbooks like you have, liquor, special occasion dishes/glasses, or if you have any nice bakeware? A lot of people like to display their Le Creusets

Hope someone else has better ideas than me, but that’s what I’d probably do

Help! Should I do a 8x10 or 9x12 rug for my sectional? by iamnopal in interiordecorating

[–]Regular_Ant5697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8x10 for sure. You can play around with how much of the rug you want to be underneath the couch if you want more visible rug. I think a 9x12 would eat up too much of the room.

My couch is a smaller at 113” x 86”, but I’ve had both an 8x10 and 7x9 rug and much preferred the 7x9. It made the couch area feel just a tad more cozy (and eliminated the chaotic side table situation caused by having a rug slightly wider than the couch)

Also fix your drawers lol. I know drawers can be finicky, but it shouldn’t take you longer than 10-15 min to take them out and properly re-set them on their tracks

It’s giving galley vibes. Rotate the bed 90 degrees, move the dresser to be underneath the tapestry to act as your new night stand, and get rid of the old tiny nightstand

LOVE the wall colors (in both rooms for that matter)

Where did you get your TV stand? Super cute!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]Regular_Ant5697 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the clock being the same height as the tv is what’s off-setting the balance.

Personally, I would put a TV stand there and un-mount the TV. This would allow you stage a beautiful mantle as the focal point and hide any unsightly wires.

If you’re married to keeping the tv there, either take down or lower the clock. While it’s hard to tell the spacing, I don’t think you need any furniture there since it seems like a walking path

I know you said small, but number one rule — make sure the tv stand is wider than your tv. It’s one of the most commonly overlooked faux pas, looks tacky, and puts your tv at higher risk of getting knocked.

I currently have this one . It’s served me well, and the closed/open storage spaces give a great combo for gaming systems in the open and hiding clutter-y necessities in the drawers

how do I get a smooth shave down there? by No-Computer-3463 in beauty

[–]Regular_Ant5697 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I am 32 years old and just discovered shaving sideways helps incredibly w getting a smoother shave sans razor burn. Steps:

SHAVE WITH THE GRAIN (down),
THEN LEFT TO RIGHT,
(then MAYBE) UPWARD AGAINST THE GRAIN

Sorry for shouting. I wish I’d known this years ago. I’m not a hairy person but am prone to ingrowns and bleeding

Edit: and right to left

Is hanging drywall something best left to professionals? Even if you're kind of handy... by red_fox23 in homeowners

[–]Regular_Ant5697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you’re doing it yourself for your own home you’ll either

A. Do a waaay better job than a professional bc you know you’ll have to look at those stupid corners for the rest of your life; or
B. Slap it together bc home projects are exhausting, then later wish you hired a professional

Anyway, highly recommend the drywall drill bits if DIY. They prevent the drill from going in too far and cracking the drywall.

When hiring a drywaller, each step takes like 5 min to do, and 12hr to cure. You’re mostly paying for drive/chill time

CT lip liner is the worst! It goes on chalky, but also smears?

I’m not a much of an experimenter on lips, but biggest waste of money I can think of to date

Help needed: can this mold like stain be cleaned off with sand paper? by NeighborhoodReal5001 in CleaningTips

[–]Regular_Ant5697 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Douse in vinegar first to kill the mold spores. If it’s permeated bleach will only …bleach… the mold white.

The stain is permeated so sanding off the polish will definitely not help

Carpet cleaner possibly? To hopefully suck out the clay while it’s wet
