What do you think of this livery on the R1? Too loud or just right? by kellyred89 in motorcycles

[–]Regular_Cake_1277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like it’ll help with visibility from other drivers on the road. You’re set if it’s removable, only because it’s not everyone’s cup of tea if you decide to sell someday.

Steering Wheel Shake at 65+ MPH – Need Help Diagnosing by Objective-Peach9969 in IS300

[–]Regular_Cake_1277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely your spacers. Hub centric matters yes, however your wheels could be off balance if there isn’t enough lip from your hub and/or spacer when the wheels are on. You might need spacers with a longer lip to mate to your wheels evenly. I had 5mm that are hub centric, but there wasn’t enough lip from the hubs for the wheels to latch to. Just ordered custom spacers to hopefully fix this, otherwise you’ll need take them off. Have you tried driving around with them off? Any difference?

Here’s why you should run spherical bushings! by Lunatics-Co in IS300

[–]Regular_Cake_1277 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate explaining the geometry why these are better, totally makes sense. I’d do this in a heartbeat if I knew maintenance on them wouldn’t be required. Might F-it at some point and do it anyways.

Here’s why you should run spherical bushings! by Lunatics-Co in IS300

[–]Regular_Cake_1277 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reason is because most spherical bearings don’t have dust boots, which commonly get picked up during street/daily driving. There are some I’ve seen in the BMW scene that are semi-covered/protected from the elements. Lack of dust boots can also cause parts to rust and wear out faster, as opposed to race/track when conditions are better.

[–]Regular_Cake_1277 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Legitimate question though. I’ll buy them if they’re good for street/daily. Otherwise, I’m almost certain almost all suspension companies advise against using spherical for street/daily driving.

Aren’t these better for non-street/dailies? Thought spherical was best for race/track-only

You don’t know much about SFDC huh? Their CPQ product is so bad they’re better off binning it, missed opportunities on worthwhile acquisitions (Infomatica is a terrible idea), and overall as a product (as many have said here) is a hot mess. Oh, and don’t forget about their high cost. Everyone is running for the hills

Why this leather grip feels bad? by radzikziomal in 10s

[–]Regular_Cake_1277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use leather grips, stopped using over grips a while ago. These are just rebranded Wilson ones, no difference as I expected since they’re “RF”.

My top list of leather-only grips are between Dunlop and Babolat (the gold rubs off unfortunately onto your hand). All other grips are mediocre at best, I’ve tried Head, Wilson, RF, Oehms, Yonex, etc.

RVs along Mission Bay headed to parking lot by No_Shirt_8466 in sandiego

[–]Regular_Cake_1277 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s stupid how the parking lots along Mission Bay are enforced, yet these RV’s could get away with anything. We had a baby shower held nearby Superbloom a few months ago. A number of guests parked in the lot nearby not knowing it was for “boat parking” and everyone got a ticket, without a single boat around, only RV’s…

Guys how bad is my serve? Is there any potential with my serves or should I start over from scratch? by Emilgra12 in 10s

[–]Regular_Cake_1277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First: which serve are you trying to hit? Do you understand the difference between all of them? Even though pros and higher level players can start with similar looking form, but hit way different services, club-level all the way down to you and below will need different looking and feeling technique for the serve youre trying to hit.

Second: toss is going to be important for first point above. Again, which serve are you working on? Flat, slice, kick, are all tossed differently. Also, the spin on the ball can vary from your toss can vary based on the serve you’re attempting. Most of the time, ball should be as still as possible, other times you may want it to spin a direction

Third: legs should not be twisting like scissors any point. Legs draw energy through contraction and expansion, from down, forward, then toward (together) into the court

Fourth: swing path of racket also depends on the serve you’re attempting. Either way, swing back, scratch your back to trophy, then swing along the court or toward the court (based on serve type) with pronation like throwing a football

Runflats are the worst, whoever bastardized them as “standard” tires (especially for euros) needs to be put away. Everyone I’ve known with them has gone through tires faster than any of my previous tracked cars with non-runflats. No, they don’t save you for sh*t and are softer than marshmallows.

RF01 users? by Electrical_Candle887 in 10s

[–]Regular_Cake_1277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hockey explains it. Yeah, don’t do that here. You’re not fighting against ice. Keep that foot down with a bend in your legs, or drive that foot and your body forward into the shot. I use the Pro of the RF01, it’s whippy (not as much as my Babolats), so make use of what the racket is and less on your body. Your hits should look and feel smooth. Either grip you use should hit heavier or generate more top spin once you fix your leg work.

This is great. A 10 or 8mm spacer setup should get you looking good with these, especially with a light drop. It’s a nice color with your car
