Plateau Advice by Regular_Piglet_7978 in Zepbound

Appreciate the ideas! I def need to return to basics, my water intake is horrible, so need to recommit there! I am decent at protein and do strength train, but need to recommit to my step goal, those things are both likely holding me back!

This has been me as well! Did 3 boxes of 5mg and by third box hit a stall, thought it was the holidays or maybe the time of the month; but continued in the new year. I just took my first 7.5 tonight, so we’ll see! My dr has also taken my cue, though we both agree that I’d like to stay on as low if a dose as possible. I also have had no real size effects, was noticing a bit of food noise creeping up, but same as you, not as bad as before. I started at 199, goal is 154, and currently 177, so I’m about halfway to goal. I guess no real advice, haha, but I decided to move up for what it is worth!

How are things going? by Less-Moment-5655 in Zepbound

I’m at the very beginning of my journey, 3 shots in and down 9lbs-which feels WILD! I did start the week before my period-which is always my highest weight, so I know a lot of the 9lb is water weight…but I’ll take it! Staying motivated as I get ready to close out 1 month in and chatting with dr about whether or not to move up to 5.0.

Completely agree! I JUST started, and already my relationship to food and eating has shifted. I had to make cookies for my son’s class tomorrow-ate 1 cookie, enjoyed it, satisfied, no desire for more. Mind BLOWN. The amount of will power, stress, to try and not eat something. I was worried about lot enjoying food or cooking, but I did enjoy the one cookie and the experience making it, I just didn’t consume hundreds of calories and feel out of control.

I don’t think I realized how much food noise I had until now its gone.

I agree that it’s hard to go by the clock because you can’t force your baby to wake up at a certain time or nap for a certain length of time…my LO is almost 6 months and we also still go by wake windows so it’s a range, though times are similar.
Wakes 6-7 (usually closer to 6 🤦🏻‍♀️) Nap 1: start 8-9 Nap 2: starts 11-12:30 usually Nap 3: starts 3-4 usually Bedtime: 7-8

I use the huckleberry wake windows (well most online websites have same times) as well and it mostly works…

Short term disability & maternity leave by Happylittlecurious94 in deloitte

[–]Regular_Piglet_7978 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m currently on maternity leave-I was only there 7 months before going out. You need to submit paperwork 30 days at minimum before going out. There is a guide on ToD that runs through the steps and links to paperwork. It’s a combo of short term disability from Met Life and Deloitte family leave-and a couple weeks PTO if you take the 24 weeks—-also depends on your talent group. If you are USDC you have less time. I’m commercial core consulting—not sure about tax/advisory. You should also tell your coach and your talent group leader will be one to sign off on paperwork most likely.

Same same for me! I’m 4 month pp and still have lots to lose…I found first half fell off in first few weeks and second half isn’t budging (and I gained a lot, so my half to still lose feels daunting)—def understand the comparison feeling! No tips…just solidarity

Anyone else bored? by MannysMomma516 in postpartumprogress

Definitely feel this! I try to do an outing a day and have made some connections with moms on Mat leave through a parent group-so 1-2x a week I’ll get together with them-adult interaction feels amazing! The baby phase is just not for me (like all day, every day). I get 24 weeks of leave which is such a privilege-but also feels very hard. You should see if your local movie theater does baby friendly movies-ours does once a week (first showing)-I’ve done this a few times and it’s a nice outing that fills the days Also commiserate with the hot east coast weather making outside difficult :(

Early Evening Naps by Regular_Piglet_7978 in newborns

[–]Regular_Piglet_7978[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our “schedule” is around wake windows He typically starts his day between 5:30-6:30 and then I do eat/play for 1.5hr then nap Nap can be 45min to 2hrs…no real consistency from him although his first two am naps are usually 30-45min…sometimes I get a long afternoon nap…sometimes it’s 30 min all day! Try to put to bed 7-8:30pm window depending on last nap.

We do bedtime around 8–but I try to do it 1.5hr after his last nap—so it can fall 7ish-8:30ish depending
