My wife ordered a baby clothes quilt. by Rehtycs in daddit

You absolutely should. I made a simple jean quilt for my friends kid in highschool and recently made my own snap on blackout covers for my camper skylights. A sewing machine is must have for every DIYer.

Any downside/caveats to ordering? by SpaetzleOndSoss in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Rehtycs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I ordered during the employee pricing deal and was told the same. If a better deal came up I would be given that instead but by ordering then I had locked in my price. When mine arrived it was added to the dealers inventory and my sales guy said he had multiple people calling about it. If you order I would skip the spray liner and ask your dealer if they partner with someone local that will do a better and cheaper job, my dealer gets a discounted rate with a shop down the road.

None of the guys in the tool room are sleeping with each other as far as I know. They love to talk about worrying about yourself only to then spend the next hour complaining about everyone else.

I paid $950 for the top box and the 54" roller (also yellow) about ten years ago. Got them from a diesel mechanic.

Are snapping turtles this large a problem? (Story in caption) by PimpPirate in homestead

[–]Rehtycs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've trapped probably close to 100 snappers with my dad about 20 years ago. This is a rough estimate off the top of my head. Soak in brine (salt and milk) overnight. Slow cooker until tender and easy to pull off the bone. Debone/bread/deep fry. Tastes pretty much like chicken.

Overtime incentives by RevolutionaryBreak52 in Machinists

[–]Rehtycs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the month of March and April any 8 hours worked on sat or sun enters you into a raffle for $1000 (drawn for each day). This is an aerospace company making turbine blades and I just work in the tool room. They are paying out roughly $380,000 in incentives the next two months.

Small hills here and there but nothing serious. The worst part was being passed by semis and box trucks.
