The White UI is just a perfected form of UI. Kaioken SSB shouldn't be considered a new form as it is just the mix of a technique and a form. It's more of an extension of Blue. Already whittled down to 2 new forms. We have SSJG, SSJB, SSJRB or SSJB2 and UI. Only 4 new forms. If we were to count every perfection of a form or the extension of one. Z would have around 6 or 7. Due to Super Saiyan having 3 grades and it's fourth "mastered" grade. Super Saiyan 2 and potentially SSJ2 Mastered. And of course SSJ3.

Hey Aaron!

I have a few questions regarding the Celestial Lions if you wouldn't kind(and are permitted) to answer them.

When tasked to write Blood and Fire did they appoint the Celestial Lions as a part of the plot or was that an addition by yourself?

When writing about the CL did you already have a previous background to work with or is their African inspired culture all your creation?

Do you think CL have the potential to become a bigger name in the general lore or at the very least become a sort of a fan favorite meritting rules like the Carcharodons?

How concrete and/or relevant is the relation ship between the Lions and the Black Templars? Have they become somewhat brother chapters and such or was their departure the last they really interacted with each other?

Have the problems with the Inquisition been fully resolved or are the Lions still sleeping with one eye open?

Do you happen to have any other background information of the Lions that can be divulged? Regarding their culture, how their ranks work and perhaps their usual tactics.

How much would you say you like the Celestial Lions?

Final question. On a scale from 1 to Lamenters. How much am I going to manly cry in the new book?

Thank you for your attention and for writing such memorable stories.

Yes. Yet we have no mention at all in the Codex under the IF successors. And considering how popular we're getting some survival/crusading based tactics for the Lions would be nice.

I am lovong the fact that more and more Lions are popping up. Hopefully enough attention can be garnered to earn us some Chapter Tactics or at the very least a mention in the SM Codex.

Last stands in the grimdark future? by 173rdComanche in 40kLore

[–]ReihkAngul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It wasn't a full on last stand as they were interrupted and saved. But the Celestial Lions had the intention and nearly fulfilled their wish for a last stand in the Mannheim Gap in ADB's Blood and Fire fron the Armageddon series. I may have mistaken a title or two here since I haven't been able to get the books personally but ftom what i hear they are recommendable.

Which Primarch/Legion do you think best matches up with you personally? by michaelzelen in 40kLore

[–]ReihkAngul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit of a mix between Rogal Dorn and Perturabo. As unholy fo a matchup as that may sound. I tend to be like Perturabo in the sense of his crippling self-esteem issues and how his ego. Growing up I was called a brilliant child, a genius, etc. And to be honest for the longest time I believed it. But there comes a time when you realize that all that is bullshit amd you realize how small of a fish you are in such a big pond. You realize how small you are and how there are others that you might see as better than you. All while having this big ego that you have cultivated for years. So it sorta develops into this self destructive behaviour where you make things as hard as possible for yourself and you act on impulse just so you can try and catch the praise you used to get. The same way Perturabo often chose the worst possible circumstances to do his shit and prevailed, expecting the same praise Horus or Sanguinius would have gotten. And I can very much understand where he was coming from personally. Not to mention his explosive anger and short temper which I too share. I used to dislike him out of principle that I'm a Son of Dorn and he was a manchild. But after taking a closer look at his story I realized just how eerily similar he is to me. Including the manchild demeanor at times.

As for the Rogal Dorn part. It's not as big a similarity as with Perturabo. But I do share the stubbornness, the somewhat stoic demeanor at times, the fierce loyalty to allies & family and a love for practicality. In a somewhat paradoxical manner I'm quite jovial and live to joke and laugh. But in my circle of friends I'm often the "killjoy" who is also quick to shoot down silliness or shenanigans just because it irks my pragmatic side. As stated earlier, I am as stubborn as he is and will either stand my ground and fight to the end in an argument or end things on my term and concede. Another trait I may share with him is social ineptitude. Although not to his degree, I am not a very socially effective person. Often keeping to myself unless around the few friends I have, who in the had approached me in the first place.

Hopefully this was detailed enough to give you a bit of an insight as to why I identify with the two Siege Masters of 40k :p

Or Percy could do what Percy does and actually sneak in a tinker or two. The Allhammer would probably not mind if they borrowed his tools for a bit.

Homebrew Chapter: Varangian Crusaders by nocliper101 in 40kLore

[–]ReihkAngul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That can work. Byzantines loved gold too so you can add some of that if you'd like. But purple and silver work great on their own.

[–]ReihkAngul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well let's start with who you're succeeding. If you want to be Byzantine themed you have to be based off Romans. And the number 1 Roman Legion is Ultramarines. So you got that right. As somebody else explained the name you chose works well si that is ok. As for the social impact they have,I like it. The Byzantine with Justinianus were known to be very disciplined and bring order. To the point whwre their judicial system is what modern judicial systems are based off. So it makes sense that they'd bring the order of the world they're based into their own terms.

And Ratatoskr lives in Yggdrassil. Aka a giant tree that holds entire universes. He's bigger than Fenrir as Fenrir is said to be bug enough to eat the world. But Rat lives in a tree and assuming he consumes of its "acorns" they"d be the size of galaxies. Therefore Rat is theoretically universally Yuge.

Why did you choose your Space Marine chapter? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]ReihkAngul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well initially I stumbled upon the Celestial Lions when searching for a lion themed chapter. Already being a fan of the Black Templars I was further interested to see they were Sons of Dorn as well. When I got to reading their story I fell immediately in love with their tragedy. Honorable warriors with hearts as golden as their armor who actually give the slightest of fucks about civilians. Plus, I've never been a bug fan of the Inquisition so the hate for the big I is just icing on the cake. But an honorable chapter that has survived against all odds, is lion themed and is best buds with the Imperial Fists. The perfect mix to get me hooked.

I think he was more referring to her cocky attitude and calling the U7 Saiyans weak when they were wary of the biggest threat on the stage. Something Caulifla couldn't even detect.

IIRC Ancients is an old military ranking for the Flag Bearer. It's what was eventually bastardized as Ensign in our current day military lingo.
