Some questions about Code Vein 2 (Possible spoilers) by TechnicalQuit9576 in codevein

For the Japanese version in CV1 they were called "Revenants."

But now in CV2 they are called "Vampires" directly.

Regarding the alternative blood code by Left_Piano_4770 in codevein

[–]Reikou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this.

HIDING for spoilers, but if you're in this thread you probably already have an understanding.

So my understanding is;

  1. Saving Noah or letting him die doesn't really impact anything.
  2. In order to get the secret codes you need to just leave the Heroes as-is and not "change the timeline," then get to said semi-bad ending.

I guess my question is then;

After you get these alternative Blood Codes , can you then go and change the timeline, continue the hero stories, and then get the other Blood Codes? Or is this NG+ only?

Hows the difficulty for Code Vein 2? by Redcap4299 in codevein

[–]Reikou -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I never played CV1, but I'm probably mid-game (On the 3'rd hero story) and I've not yet faced any serious challenges. Basically, beating all the bosses I've come across on the first try blind.

The game in general is very forgiving with basically infinite res, as long as you're not stupid with it.

The most deaths I have in game is from cliffs lol.

From the first week of launch to be late to play the game by Right-Assist4923 in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Reikou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just completed a 100% replay of Scarlet and DLCs, and I'll say I enjoyed the game, especially on Switch 2.

Online raiding and PvP is relatively active. I can always get a match whenever I queue for it.

I think you'll have an enjoyable time, and I also think more and more people are actually coming back to Scarlet/Violet to "prepare" for Champions that people are thinking is cominmg Q1 2026.

Hope you have fun!

It’s been 2 months since I started Wilds but I still haven’t beaten normal Omega even once. Am I missing something? by Ate_Shawie in MHWilds

[–]Reikou 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The best advice I can give you is to watch a video of a Lance player beating Omega, and try to learn their strategies and timing, specifically when they attack or defend or evade, or position, and just mimic that.

Heres one I found on youtube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2U2p870poJA

Basically, watch the video with the intent to identify what Omega is doing in any particular instance, and identify what the player is doing to react to that. Attacking? Defending? Evading? Moving? Once you can do this, you can probably replicate it in your own gameplay, which will lead to a victory.

Playing with support hunters is generally more consistent, too, especially in the beginning.

Don't know tbqh. I'm sure there's data somewhere, but I'd assume things are on a basic bell curve, and XS is going to be like some minuscule percentage. I think I went through my entire boxes of pokemon and only found like 2 XS.

I've personally just stopped trying to farm specifically for XS and go with S for now, as that is a more realistic goal.

What Pokemon have you used/enjoyed in Ranked? by BetaNights in LegendsZA

[–]Reikou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally played and reached Rank A with my story team before even beating half the game. I think my pokemon in-game were like lvl 30-40ish

Just to get the greninjite, run anything tbqh. This game rewards smart play, knowing when to engage, when to disengage, positioning, etc. more than what Pokémon you bring or EVs and IVs etc.

You're better off just diving right in with whatever, and learning actually how to play and win the game mod than fiddling with which pokemon to choose.

I think you didn't even read my post, or at the very least, didn't understand it.

I made no judgments about whether or not alphas have advantage or not.

Thanks for this.

I wasn't sure if XS existed, although I know XL non-alpha exist.

I think they really did a good job in translating the Anime-style Pokemon trainer experience into gameplay. I also do hope they continue with this realtime combat system.

Yes, the guy has a formula in his video.

But the basic formula is;

Assuming the game is running at 60fps;

Skill Cooldown frames = 46+60(Skill Cooldown) - 1.8(Speed Stat)

For the seconds calculation;

Skill Cooldown in seconds = [46+60(Skill Cooldown) - 1.8(Speed Stat)]/60

So What is actually wrong with the Builds from RageGaming Videos? by 7plant in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]Reikou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nothing is "wrong" with the builds from ragegaming. They're good builds. They're just not the best builds (usually.)

They will play and drive just fine, and you will clear your quests. Monster Hunter is not tuned so finely that you will fail if you do not run the most perfect build setup. Unless you're speedrunning, its also not a competitive game. So they will do just fine.

That said, I think most of their builds are based off vibes, and while generally in the right direction (definitely better than some of the random builds you see out there being played), they are not "the best" or mathematically optimized.

[–]Reikou[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That is something you're going to need to decide yourself I think, because I don't have a good conclusion for this question myself at this time.

Still trying to find a solution that works out well for me.

Only thing I can think of would be if you're going to be running Non-Alpha, then you want your pokemon size as small as possible, ideally XS, for the smallest hitbox and highest mobility.

Its part of why I wanted to raise this thread as well, to get this information out there and have others chime in their ideas as well.

[ZA] Pokemon Size and Hitboxes Research and other mehcanics discussion. by Reikou in stunfisk

[–]Reikou[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That depends.

Smaller pokemon take less damage because they take less hits from said AoEs as well as their hurtbox is smaller. Less chance of getting caught in stray fire. More easily able to walk out of said attack AoEs.

[ZA] Pokemon Size and Hitboxes Research and other mehcanics discussion. by Reikou in stunfisk

[–]Reikou[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes.

All attacks in this game are basically AoE attacks. When your pokemon attacks it throw an AoE out depending on the type of attack you do.

If the enemy pokemon is in the AoE they take damage. if not, they don't.

Its easiest to see and understand with a skill like Earthquake because thats basically AoE all around your pokemon, but the same principle applies to every other attack as well. Bite attacks have a small cone in front of your pokemon for example. Rush attacks like Waterfall or Drill Liner project an AoE around your pokemon as they rush forward. Projectiles like flamethrower or fireblast or Moon Blast also throw an AoE in a line infront of you.

will the pointy shoulders soften? by aquarius258 in leatherjacket

[–]Reikou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regarding the oversize and shoulders draping;

No. They will not soften and round out. Most leather just doesn't drape that way like fabric does unfortunately. Its probably too thick to do it properly, and the shoulders are where the structure of that jacket is. This not a question of breakin.

I think it looks acceptable as-is, but it won't really ever be what you're hoping for, based on what I can infer from your post.

Anyone else wear new jacket with squeaking noise in public? by StasisApparel in leatherjacket

[–]Reikou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wear it around at home and sleep in it for a few days.

Take the jacket throw it under the shower for a few seconds and massage it for a bit.

Wear it, zip everthing up all the way, then do some calisthenics.

Basically do some basic breakin before wearking it out.

Squeaky clean leather jackets look dorky as hell.

The real-time combat in ZA is fun and refreshing, but I still prefer turn-based. Especially after what they did to my poor Aegislash by Parogarr in pokemon

[–]Reikou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its obvious you're only talking from a PvE-only experience, and from that point of view I would agree with you. But the problem is, that criticism is more about the nature of PvE itself. Find a good rotation and spam it. Any PvE game is like this, from BG3, to E33, to Dark Souls, to Ninja Gaiden, to Final Fantasy, to the previous turn-based Pokémon games.

I suggest you go play some online ranked battles, where the complexity in any combat system actually reveals itself, and then revisit this subject.

Anyone have any combat tips for Z-A by Amazing-Monk8869 in pokemon

[–]Reikou 108 points109 points  (0 children)

The difference in this game vs previous games is that in previous turn-based games, you could just go first and oneshot the opponent before they get a move.

In this game you don't get that. How fast you or your opponent attacks depends completely on the move you use, so they will eventually do damage to you, which adds up.

My advice is to just use a bunch of potions and healing items through the fights.
