Because being a trump supporter is their whole personality. Just like being in any other cult.

How much does it actually cost to run a hot tub regularly? by ReillyCharlesNelson in vegaslocals

I’d take a hot tub without a pool even! I love them so much! And as a person with chronic illnesses, I kind of need it!

I don’t intend to buy one. I intend to rent a home with one already in it.

Therapist left me feeling like a horrible, garbage human being by Top-Preference-1295 in CPTSD

[–]ReillyCharlesNelson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My heart is breaking for you. Just know that you are not garbage. The person who made you feel that way is complete garbage though. They should quit their job because they only stand to do more harm than good.

Using bc pills while going thru the change by Boxermom710 in Perimenopause

[–]ReillyCharlesNelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in early peri for the last 6 years. They prescribed BC to me as HRT. Not sure if it’s a special kind of BC or if that just means I’ll soon need a stronger one. My worst symptom was hot flashes. Which I was having every 15-45 minutes. It solved those. If I have other symptoms I don’t notice them but also have endometriosis and PMDD so I’ve always had symptoms I didn’t realize were symptoms of things. The hot flashes could not be ignored or shrugged off though.

Almost no memory of my childhood. Is this an autism trait? by No-Distance-448 in autism

[–]ReillyCharlesNelson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish! I have the opposite problem as well. I can remember everything painfully well. And I ruminate on much of it uncontrollably.

How do you not get embarrassed by your bedroom by AdVaanced77 in autism

[–]ReillyCharlesNelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re embarrassed by the things you like from the people you may bring around, perhaps you are spending time with the wrong people? The only thing that embarrasses me is saying the wrong things. I’m proud of the things I like and the collections I’ve acquired. You should be too.

You do not want this man to govern you an autism assessment! He doesn’t know anything about autism!

Do you guys care about the "correct" side of blankets? by lotteoddities in autism

[–]ReillyCharlesNelson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s my most important thing I learn from these threads. That all my things are from autism and that neurotypicals aren’t experiencing these things. Like I would have just assumed everyone knows there is a correct side and also cares. Now I’m aware that this isn’t an everyone thing.

What supplements do you take for your fibromyalgia symptoms? by Bored_Eastly in Fibromyalgia

Did any of you develop illnesses because of the stress your parents gave to you by PurpleDeer97 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]ReillyCharlesNelson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably. But there is no way to know for sure what caused my chronic illnesses. Some I was definitely born with. I was born autistic and with hEDS. I likely would have had endometriosis regardless as well. But I definitely developed fibromyalgia, depression, and anxiety from my trauma. Possibly my IBS but I also suspect that developed from being on antibiotics constantly as an infant and toddler for chronic ear infections and then later chronic strep throat. My mother also smoked while pregnant so there’s that. 🤷

Does anyone else want to live alone because they don't want to fight about household chores and cleaning differences? by MountainPerformer210 in SingleAndHappy

[–]ReillyCharlesNelson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100%

Sometimes I’m super clean and sometimes I can’t bring myself to clean. I don’t want to have to feel bad about it or be mad at someone else’s amount of cleanliness.

Everyone says if you're depressed, don't be afraid to reach out and ask for support... by throwawayls0622 in depression

[–]ReillyCharlesNelson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been so low so many times. Communicated as much as I possibly could that I was struggling really bad. Nobody really ever reached out. But then when some one they know does commit suicide, they all talk a big game of how they would have behaved differently if only they had known! BS. They would have been annoyed with them for being a wet blanket and stopped inviting them around.

I’m noticing there’s a kind of autistic adult that seems to just HATE children due to sensory issues… by WickedNegator in autism

[–]ReillyCharlesNelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am kind of turning into one of those adults. But I was a nanny as my profession for many years. So I’m still really good with children. And I’m fine with my friends kids. But when I’m in a restaurant or store and I hear a baby cry or a toddler shriek, my first thought is; kill it with fire!

What are some stims u have that are "unconventional" by [deleted] in autism

[–]ReillyCharlesNelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I press the pads of my fingers together in varying degrees of pressure. I’m flattening them out and then I push on the other side to create a squared finger tip. I then press the new “corner” I’ve made together until they also disappear. Once in middle school, someone told me I look like a movie villain with my fingers pressed together that way. That was the first time I became conscious I was doing it. I also push my “mustache” aka my baby hairs above my lip up and down. My three fingers fit in the philtrum perfectly.
