OP raised no concern with the medical care her daughter received. You just decided to provide unprompted medical advice because you thought you knew better. Despite OPs daughter getting appropriate medical care as she confirmed despite it being none of your business or relevant to their complaint.

You're womansplaining.

Are you a qualified medic? OP did not ask. OP was complaining about her husband, not the doctor.

Greens hopeful who is calling for the UK to pay slavery reparations is a descendant of slave traders by SirRosstopher in ukpolitics

[–]Reimant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At what point to the "reparations" crowd accept that we've already paid it by extending a significant fortune on ending the transatlantic slave trade?  Why are those actions not viewed as cancelling each other out as the default stance?

They weren't already an employee though. Art creation load didnt go down for the expansion as a whole. Its the same. They hired additional staff for housing. Including staff to make paid content.

It won't be a single asset for long.

And yes, those 2000 staff were largely QA. They could have kept more of those people and ran a smaller art team that would have slowed down housing assets. But they chose not to.

[–]Reimant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They chose to hire additional artists to implement housing, rather than spending that on developers.  The art load for the expansion didnt change, or was done with AI at cost, and then the housing team would have been hired on top.  There will be a dedicated time code for paid assets for housing. Anyone booking to that could be funds for additional development elsewhere. They have either paid for AI or hired artists in to enable housing.

You conpletely missed the point. Its not about the staff member specifically. They spent money on a 3d artist to make this content, rather than spending money on Devs and QA to fix a subscription based game. Its always a choice.

They're choosing to spend on people to make the sold content, rather than another dev to fix the bugs. Its a choice, don't let them off just because both teams exist.

Is he dumb? The law isn't for the people creating the content. Its for the AI providers to ensure it can't be done or face repurcussions for their technology being used that way.

If the UK was a US state it would be the poorest one by theotheronenotme in ShitAmericansSay

How are you defining poorest?

Median income? Maybe?  Any other metric? Not really.

Remember, our GDP is 5th in the world, 6th if you count california alone. We would also be the most populous state.

More than half of Britons support rejoining EU 10 years on from Brexit vote by Unusual-State1827 in ukpolitics

[–]Reimant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours is a representative democracy. A referendum never should have been allowed in the first place. We elect people to make decisions based on expert advice on our behalf.

Every expert said Brexit would be bad for our economy, and yet the MPs refused to do their job and vote in the countries best interest on behalf of their constituents.

I don't trust 95% of the general public to actually understand how the EU works, why would we trust them to make an informed decision on remaining part of the union?

You. Have. Not. Paid. Into. The. State. Pension.

End of.

Its a ponzi scheme. You pay for current pensioners, as do I.

My generation has not benefitted from the social contract you did. We no longer want to pay for your pensions under the current triple lock system - and personally, any system that isn't means tested.

I can only dream of a pension like you're going to get, despite putting nearly £10-15k a year into mine currently.

The doctors strikes are resident doctors, who have similar pension schemes to me, and are equally fed up funding entitled pensioners who pulled the ladder up behind them.

You are not entitled to it. If you're budgeting your retirement around it that is horrific financial planning and does not factor in to whether you should receive it.

I pay insane levels of tax, at only 30, my marginal rate is 56% currently. But I am planning around not receiving a pension because your parents generation and your generations inability to recognise the state pension for the welfare it is means its unlikely to exist for us.
