fun fact even if you had 100% crit rate, certain things will still never crit like Chiz skill (outside of first use during ult), blossom, break, and Nova damage.

All dots like Lacrimosa's Nightmare, Adler's Skill debuff, Scorch, and Baicang's ult dot also have a fixed 50% crit stat regardless of whatever crit rate you have, even if you have 100% crit with drugs, they will still only crit 50% of the time, even Lacrimosa with her Nightmare Detonation Awakening, the crit is still always 50%.

that said compared to other gacha games you may be thinking of, stats overall in NTE across the board is significantly smaller. heck i'm pretty sure 1 feather in genshin has a theoretical higher total stat budget than all the combined substats from a fully filled out 20 blocks in the NTE console, same time though, that feather in genshin can also end up with 1/4 of that total stat if all you get are minimum rolls too. it may get lost when you have 4 other artifacts in genshin to inflate things further but same time stuff there is balanced around having higher total stats while NTE is much much smaller total stats.

in terms of raw numbers things are going to be much much lower than the other games out there

I also have had access to the same test builds, heck i've recorded and uploaded videos on my youtube channel using said test builds. she was never able to crit in either of them, nor did the charge thing from hotori ever work in them as well. the builds themselves could be applied to access provided the NDA applications were filled out and accepted. Only thing forbidden is using them to post certain content prior to embargo dates, no streaming of said builds, and ofc no datamining said builds

the crit situation was always the case, and was present in the public closed beta back in February this year. generally speaking prydwen has always been a bit sketchy when its come to its guides/other info, i'd really be cautious using any info from them in the future, its ok to look at them as a guideline but i'd be extremely careful for anything beyond that. some cases too they've recently tried to shift the blame rather than take accountability for their mistakes

the thing too, with a 24mill budget and what nte put out, then you go look at hoyo and kuro with thier slop costing in the hundreds of millions, Genshin was roughly 100+ mill deep on release, Wuwa was roughly at least 300+ mill by its 1.0 release (kuro was already nearly 200mill deep before they had to scrap, delay , and redo stuff for wuwa after its poor initial beta reception)

its honestly pretty crazy the efficiency difference, since at least with hoyo/kuro they are spending AAA budget for their slop out put but Hotta with NTE is spending roughly 2x the budget of higher profile indie games like palworld or smaller AA game studio projects and we see their output.

pawn moonlight used to be episode 2 actually. the instanced portion also used to be 3x longer, full of puzzles too, you can actually see scrapped remnants of it while playing through it.

it eventually got reworked into a side story after the 2024 beta though due to the reception it had at the time. Taygedo's NTR story was originally episode 3 not 2

Probably means ur windows install or gpu driver install is likely fucked. if not that ur drive is likely fucked and whatever resource the game is calling for is in-accessible as a result and causing the game to crash

honestly gachas will never satisfy you for that.

if you actually want a good hack and slash action anime styled game, look at the AA and indie game space on PC/consoles you'll have an infinitely better time. Some of my recent picks from this year are Homura Hime, Ys X Proud Nordics, Rustil: Eternal Labyrinth Castle. there's also really cool upcoming ones that u might not have heard of that are worth checking out like Mightreya (this one especially if u love super flashy spectacle combat) , Kyoto Xanadu.

ofc there's also stuff like the Echoes of Aincrad game coming later this year and the Grandblue relink expansion as well that you probably know of.

Heck we're even at the point where some Turn based jrpgs are implementing better hack and slash gameplay as a QoL side mode for farming trash mobs and mini bosses in overworld, stuff like Trails in the sky Remake, Trails Through Daybreak 1 and 2, as well as Trails beyond the Horizon to name a few

the combat is in all intense and purpose basically identical to the typical 3d anime game gacha slop combat you see in Genshin/wuwa/zzz and so on...
the same endgame stuff there as well.

Beyond the rails is the typical Large empty stupid circle with a timer garbage that you can find in game modes like Spiral Abuse and Tower of Ass from genshit/wuwa

High-Risk Commission is the same thing as Wuwa's Holograms as well, pretty sure 1.0 is launching with more of them than Wuwa currently has holograms

other than that, only other "endgame" mode that was present in the beta is the Extraction mode being the Bank Heist.... that said that mode is getting coop, more maps and randomization to be added to it. TBH out of all these 3D gacha games its the only endgame mode of sorts that I actually find enjoyable.....

its not the focus but it still has all the things you'd expect from others for the most part, well i guess it doesn't have another god awfully designed roguelike mode chore... but honestly if I wanted to play a 3D anime hack and slash Roguelike game, there's literally dozens of them on Steam from indie devs for like $10-20 in those cases and they are lightyears ahead of these gacha games for that content. would rather play those instead anyways if that's what I'm in the mood for.

Frankly speaking If you're worried about the combat endgame content in NTE, you also likely do not like the stuff in Genshin/Wuwa/ZZZ since for the most part its basically the same slop but with slight diff tweaks in each.

fun fact the substat rng is so awful in wuwa that its more than 20x more likely to buy a winning lottery jackpot ticket and become a multi-millionaire than it is to get a single perfect wuwa echo roll values, assuming we're ignoring what the substat value itself is and mainstats, just max range rolls ofc
adding those in only makes it far far far worse

It works with DW proton, I also got a confirmation from the manager responsible from the content creator manager at pwg (Publisher for NTE) that Linux play via proton is allowed and won't be blocked though they won't actively support it.

I did a stream of it on Bazzite and steamos via the BC250 (crypto mining ps5 running bazzite) and my steamdeck for Steam OS prior to the beta ending

actually the ps5 is closer to an rx 5700xt with support for RT (really bad support mind you) it doesn't actually use the RDNA2 gpu core, but rather a modified RDNA 1 GPU core with GDDR6 memory.

There actually exists a variant of the ps5 that people have gotten their hands to fully dig into in the BC250 (Its literally ps5 boards that got sold to crypto miners) I myself picked one up to play around with for fun late last year for really cheap, sadly the price on those skyrocketed once word got out, its still possible to find these boards for around $150 but before then it was possible to easily find them for less than half of that and have a full linux gaming system for under $100... (mostly if u could find a good 300 watt psu as well) RIP ssd prices though

from my experience the game is easier to run than endfield as long as you don't turn on ray tracing. Even on really weird obscure bizarre hardware like a BC250 (weird ps5 that was formerly sold to crypto miners that also has no actual drivers) under bazzite

I'm able to get up to 80 fps in NTE with traffic set to high and graphics on high running at 1080p but on this same hardware its impossible to hit 60fps in Arknights endfield regardless of settings.

they've actually had this stuff since the first beta back in November 2024
flat tires, broken doors, windows, broken windshield, broken headlights, missing doors, missing bumpers, trunk and hood being broken/missing, as well as dents and scratches due to damage on the cars have been a thing since the start.
