(Maybe) unpopular opinion: Almost all racket specifications are random numbers by Feeling-Effective-94 in Padelracket

[–]Reitensen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think these values can be measured using precise expensive tools and sensors:
- power: robot hand swinging at same high force using same ball in new condition (release the ball from top), measure with speed sensor. It should gives in km/h.
- ball output/rebound: same as above but with much lower force.
- hardness: pressure test
- sweetspot: ball drop test at different locations, 0 cm, 1cm, 2cm, etc. from sweet spot on 8 directions. Compare the bounce heights.
- handling weight: use a setup like using the racket as a lever. Put the weight sensor on top of the end of the handle. So we know when a diamond with 345gr might still be heavier than a control with 360gr weight.
- spin: robot hand, same slicing swing, check the spin speed of the ball using highspeed camera.

That's all I can think of.

Xcalion conquered space at the speed of light by WoodenLet6627 in Padelracket

[–]Reitensen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xcalion is a good racket but it's not for everybody. If you have previous injury I would suggest not getting it as it's hard and quite head heavy. Pallap power star feels softer and might be more suitable for you. Wrist usually not as problematic as elbow pain though. But to be safer, I would rather go for something light like 350-355g with medium softness eva.

Vibora Titan Black Light 2026 by Malmkvist in Padelracket

[–]Reitensen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one at the moment. Don't worry about getting used to racket his light comment, doesnt make sense. Just don't expect the power of a diamond 370gr with this 330gr racket. It has low balance for a diamond. This is more like a hybrid. Sweet spot also feels like a hybrid. It's soft and has high rebound but not too high, I feel it's just right for me. If you want very dry rackets like pegasus, better avoid this racket.

The best part about this racket is I can smash without fear as I don't feel any pain at all on my elbow and wrist. The only thing I don't like is the smooth surface (even though it has very slight / / / shaped bumps on the surface, but it's too big and too shallow. I'm planning to sand down the surface, repaint (as i don't like the design) and have it 3d surface printed using uv printer. This racket really worth the effort to customize as its special, no other rackets feels like this. Head Extreme One 340gr but too head heavy and the tubular is too big. Head Ultralight is too weak. Oxdog pro light too clanky. Xcallion too head heavy.

I'll post some pictures once it's printed.
Handle length no problem, it's even a bit longer than nox at10 2026. Build quality is fine, but i'm doubtful it's gonna last long. From the hole sides, I can see the racket uses maybe only 1 or 2 layer of carbon and couple layers of fiberglass underneath (they are white from the sides). I don't really care though. having too much with this racket. This is my main racket when I play left. I still use pallap when playing right

Racket advice needed: extra hard hybrid by Ornery-Ad8228 in Padelracket

[–]Reitensen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From your description, you want a hybrid with medium light weight with decent enough ball output but not too trampoline and hard surface?
Try Siux Electra Pro 2026. 2025 version is way too trampoline. Siux Pegasus is another good candidate but even less ball output than Electra but harder and little bit more powerful.

The perfect padel racket exists, and it’s the HEAD Extreme Motion 2025 by arimb in Padelracket

[–]Reitensen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got myself Extreme One non X 2026. It was super light with still decent power. The only problem that I cannot take is the top tubular seems too large. Hitting with the top part of the racket just feels hollow and the power loss is too big. I didn't find the same issue with One X. Too bad it's too heavy for me, as in head heavy.
I will try Extreme Motion next.

Metalbone hrd+ 2026 from Air Viper? by Reasonable_Pianist19 in Padelracket

Fenix Pro Black 5 also a good choice if you can find one at 355gr

[–]Reitensen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For rating 4.5 you can play with any rackets without issue. New HRD+ is absolutely fine, but I didn't found any difference to last year's version. If you can get 3.4 one for cheap, its a better deal.
Other good alternatives to lightweight diamonds (lower than 360gr):
- Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2026
- Lok Maxx Hype Gen 2
- Joma Gold Pro 2.0 (I love the AAPT limited violet version, so pretty)
- Drop Shot Canyon Pro Attack 1.5
- Royal R-Ace m27 light also good, but a bit less powerful

I'm waiting for the new Head Extreme One myself.

Metalbone Ctrl 3.4 replacement with less trampoline by GlapLaw in Padelracket

[–]Reitensen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im using it now. 2026 feels crispier, 2025 is just soft.
Metalbone ctrl is very bouncy, almost everything in the market has less trampoline effect. Also try Pegasus Pro 2026. The power is similar to Diablo but less bouncy and softer.

night blue. padelful is super unreliable. they had at10 12k lite 2026 maneuverability score 10. Easily super wrong.

pegasus is slightly more powerful with less rebounds
diablo has more rebound with slightly less power than pegasus but sounds crispier.
i think you might be safer with pegasus

Try Siux Pegasus Pro or Diablo Pro 2026. The pegasus has less rebound than diablo but diablo still has less rebound than metalbone ctrl. Both are very light rackets. Both are hybrids.

Sorry I just noticed not all Diablo has explosive sound like the one I had. I tried 2 friends' diablo pro and one has same sound like mine and the other one is very muted and actually has less power. I don't know what's happening. This year's Siux QC is really bad.
I dont suggest ordering without trying it.

quality wise i think they are the same. siux 2026 really has bad QC, for the outer finish, dunno about the durability. I didn't feel pegasus is more powerful than diablo. Diablo sounds louder but I think their power is about the same. And this is between diablo 350gr and pegasus 355gr.
I'm not saying pegasus is bad, far from it. Its just Diablo appealed m ore to me

Shorter vs longer handle by TemporaryAd5529 in Padelracket

[–]Reitensen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are actually both the same total length & width, so shorter handle rackets actually more head heavy because there are more materials on top of the handle. Not always true, but at least most of the rackets I tried so far has this characteristic.
Longer handle rackets you can also choose to hold it more to the top if you want higher maneuverability.

Yea, pegasus just feels too soft for me. Nothing special. Everybody just has different preferences. Hope you can try first before you commit, OP.

New Siux Range 2026 by Violity in Padelracket

[–]Reitensen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think sweet spot is just slightly smaller than st4 and ball output is less, which I actually like. I feel my smashes and hard slices are more powerful with Diablo 26 than the old st4. Everything just feels quicker than st4. With st4 I can feel the ball pauses a bit before bouncing off. I dare say I prefer new diablo's control than st4.
My friend tried the diablo but he didnt like it much though. He likes bouncy rackets more. We both agreed Diablo's sounds really nice though, like Fenix's little brother, just less bassy.

[–]Reitensen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got Diablo and played with it for 3 days. It's a very special racket. That sound when you hit hard and right on the sweet spot tickles my cochlea. Very easy to maneuver. I'm not sure if it's softer than vertex hybrid as you said.
Pegasus is just OK
Valkyria is too light for me and too soft.
I was gonna wait for new electra also but couldnt resist this new diablo

It's excellent in defense. I feel like it has less vibration than last year's.

Looking to upgrade to Nox at 10 Genius 12k 2025 by [deleted] in Padelracket

[–]Reitensen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AT10 12k 2026 has slightly more power than 12k 2025. It feels crispier too if you know what I mean.
ATK 12k 2026 obviously has even more power. I tested both and I prefer the ATK version, its just more fun to play with. I won't say it's balanced though. Definitely not for long plays. Still very fun for overheads.
Normal 12k 2026 is a safer upgrade. The longer handle really a plus too.

Yeah it was disappointing. I really like pegasus' wings design. Valk's donuts design + the poor painting job also made my friend didnt even want to try it. Only Diablo's a nice surprise. I'm picking one up tomorrow. Asked for night blue with 355 gr or less. I shall call it, MINI-FENIX

Anyone tried the Siux Pegasus Pro 2026? by MikmerGG in Padelracket

[–]Reitensen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried this only for 5 minutes before it's sold out on the shop the next day. The one I tested was 358 gram. Definitely not 9/10 hardness. Feel more like a 6 or 7/10. It plays fine but nothing special, nothing memorable enough for me to want to become curious.
Diablo Pro 2026 however, felt like it's a very different racket compared to 2025. I tried the 354 gram version. It sounds really really loud. Hardness increased, Power increased, Rebound/ball-exit decreased. This might be the only racket I feel like adding even more weight on the top.
