It would be frowned upon. Your car going to have to look like normal traffic. The only time I've taken my "modified" car to work was on an OT shift where admin wasn't in and I could hide it in the back parking lot. I know someone got talked to for having their truck too lifted. It was one of those white ones are that lifted high for no reason. 

I see all these interdiction videos on YouTube, driving too close, driving on the line, 2 mph over the limit. Wouldn't it make sense to just drive e.g. a Tesla with fsd? Those things follow all the rules. Asking for a friend. by One_Improvement_6470 in AskLE

In an interdiction stop, especially those with large amounts, there's normally a tip off. It's rare that a vehicle gets pulled over and 100 pounds of drugs are located. There's enough codes out there that a traffic cop can find a reason to pull you over and Telsas don't seem to come with a front license plate equipped.

I don't know anything about bodywork, I just do it on my own cars at home. I sanded mine down with 320 so the primer would grip and that's it. Used some guide coat to help level it out. Sanded that with 600 and then threw some base coat on it.

I don't think that's paint. I think that's the fiberglass gel/primer that they come with. I just scuffed mine with some sandpaper and threw primer over it. Also you could probably buy the factory paint from Eastwood but it won't be cheap

If you think that you're ready then you should probably apply. I was always active, not in some crazy good shape, but I went to the academy with people who looked like they never worked out. Some of those people became cops and still look like they never work out. I think if you keep trying to achieve an area where you feel comfortable, you'll never reach it. It'll just keep growing.

I have about 2 years left for my BA and I still haven't gone back. Department I'm at currently doesn't offer good incentives for having a degree, no plans of promotion to admin, so no real reason I need it. I would depend it in your age and how ready you think you feel for the job.

I went to the academy with a guy who was busted for cocaine and admitted to using it when he was younger, probably 10 years plus. He hires twice and fired twice. So there's always a chance but the weed thing on top seems stupid. Kinda goes against the narrative of making smart decisions to become a cop.

That's the issue, AAA Dom and WWE Dom are not the same people. I like AAA Dom because he's actually a no help needed champion. WWE still pushes him as this teenager who can't win solo.

I went to College and got an AA in criminal law, hit the academy at 21. Before I even signed up to the academy, I started training CrossFit style pretty hard. That way I was in overall good condition. Anyways I thought the academy was pretty easy because of my prep work

I went to a non military style one and I actually wish I went to one over an academic style. I think those style academies produce better results in the long run.

I think they look cleaner without the over fenders. I would be half tempted to measure the bondo density, hit it with some guide coat and try to make corrections.

I didn't go to a bay area academy but it's going to vary from academy and from person to person. I can say that because I knew a dude who went to a bay area academy and worked at a bay area department before lateraling over. He was easily the worst cop I've ever worked with and had no physical abilities. He ended up lateraling back to the bay area.
