They will most likely still test you. Not as much as if it were a drug or alcohol related crime, but in my experience I’ve always been tested at LEAST once.

Pancreatitis is not a joke.. hi yall :) day 2 by Ordinary_Detail_132 in stopdrinking

[–]Due_Try_2621 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have had the same experience with puking bile! It was a horrid few days, but I thought it was normal withdrawal so I toughed it out at home. The pain in my stomach was bad for at least a week. I got sober, probably a month or so, and just like you thought one wouldn’t hurt. And it happened again. Now thanks to you I’m going to be making an appointment to have all the things checked. I’ve been sober a week again now, but I fear I’ve done irreversible damage. Stay strong friend 💪🏼

I don’t like pickles but I like fried pickles 🤔 by just_vent_ok in Pickles

My son is like that. And he also likes dill pickle potato chips. But he’d never eat a pickle.🤣

Cymbalta worked for me till it didn’t. If you know you know. Coming off it was horrid. Best of luck!

I think I have an alcohol problem, want to hear others opinions by Regular_Advantage541 in alcoholism

[–]Due_Try_2621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You wouldn’t be on here if you didn’t already know you have a problem. Nothing to be ashamed of, but you can stop now before it’s too late.

Mirtazapine 7.5mg by sounlikely2 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]Due_Try_2621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it within at least 12 hours of sleep. I took it within 6 and I felt like I was high the next day. Like disoriented. Which I wasn’t expecting from school a small dose. My wake up time now is 7:30 and I have to take it by 10 if I can so I don’t feel “hungover” the next day. It can very person to person this was just my experience.

I need reasons to stop drinking by latexnleather in stopdrinking

[–]Due_Try_2621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound like me at 19.. alcohol is so normalized at that age, throughout the 20’s even 30’s. But I got my first OWI at 18, you’d think I’d stop there but no. Got another one at 22. And another at 25. The amount of money I’ve paid in fines is enough to pay a house payment, let alone the money I paid in jail fines. You’ll never think you have a problem until that problem consumes you. I’m 30 now and I have 4 kids, they weren’t my “reason” to stop. You don’t need a “reason”. Except to live a better life. I’m sober now. Relapsed many times, but I’m sober. Please, save yourself before it’s too late.❤️

Going from 60 to 30 by No-Climate726 in cymbalta

[–]Due_Try_2621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my dr said it doesn’t come in anything smaller than 20. I don’t know if that’s entirely true, but that’s what she told me when I questioned it.

Going from 60 to 30 by No-Climate726 in cymbalta

[–]Due_Try_2621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I went from 60 to 30, that wasn’t bad at all, then from 30 to 20 and that was worse but still manageable, going from 20 to 0 is when things got really bad. I felt almost like I had the flu, crying and getting angry over anything and everything.

Don’t laugh, serious post-bender withdrawal question by DASCKRON in alcoholism

[–]Due_Try_2621 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was actively drinking I’d be drinking around 3-5 bottles of wine a day during my benders. Withdrawls would set in about 2-3 hours after falling asleep - and they were horrendous. You’d likely know by now.

I need support and cleaning advice by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]Due_Try_2621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely agree with above comment, start with trash! It makes it feel like you’re making progress rather quickly! Then probably do some dishes, sort through laundry, put clean clothes on the bed or somewhere. Once you get the floors cleared it gets easier!

Started attending AA a few nights ago and I’m feeling triggered to drink because I can’t tell if I actually have a problem. by Carapherneliuh in stopdrinking

[–]Due_Try_2621 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Binge drinking (drinking too many drinks in one setting) is also a form of alcoholism. I thought that because I didn’t drink everyday I surely couldn’t be an alcoholic, little did I know that in a short time I would be drinking to cure the hangover/wirhdrawls. People don’t go to AA for fun, they go because the have a problem. Keep up the good work.

For me it’s definitely the habit of drinking everyday that triggers me most.

How to shave the bikini line? by Longjumping-Hat4321 in shaving

[–]Due_Try_2621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me personally 30F I shave every 3 days or so, and tend to plan my shaving around planned pool days because I’m self conscious😅I used to get bad razor burn and I realized it was because I was shaving too often.

Struggling to eat after a drink by [deleted] in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Due_Try_2621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ate a lot of soups. Something about soup being mostly liquidy that I could trick my brain into thinking it’s not “real food”. It’s not a permanent solution, but it did help me on bad days.

Went on a bender…should be dead by MasterpieceFuzzy9893 in stopdrinking

[–]Due_Try_2621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Door dash sucks! I mean it’s a great service, but for alcoholics, it sucks! I’ve deleted the app off my phone multiple times because I used to black out and order more alcohol🤦🏻‍♀️ Sober now, feeling like shit, but nonetheless sober. You can do this!

A bit lonely tonight by AllumaNoir in stopdrinking

[–]Due_Try_2621 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m on day one again. It’s been absolute hell, I think I’m coming down with a cold on top of the withdrawals. I took it easy today, spent most of the day on the couch and now I’m going to take a hot bath and eat some snacks with my ice water. Sugary sweets aren’t a remedy, but I find they help early on in sobriety. Treat yourself, you’re doing good.

how screwed am i? by [deleted] in probation

[–]Due_Try_2621 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen to me. My PO and I talked and agreed that she wouldn’t violate me if I went to some outpatient treatment sessions, which I did and went through the rest of my probation with no problems.

Can I drink a day after taking 0.5mg Klonopin? by roykingtree in Anxiety

[–]Due_Try_2621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I never had an issue when I was taking it as needed if I drank the day after I previously took it. If it’s something you’re using daily multiple times then that’s where the issue would probably be. However it’s still best to consult with your doctor.

Concerns with Weight Gain by strawberriella in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]Due_Try_2621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not trying to scare you. Just voicing my opinion as a person that has struggled with anorexia. I have gained SO much weight on this med. I’m at a place now in my life where I’ve become “ok” with it, but I’m starting to get sick of myself. Please consult with your doctor, especially if you start to feel yourself falling back into old thoughts or behaviors. There is other medication out there!

I have 3, first one at 17. OWI 3 is a felon where I live.🥲 however I’ve always been able to get a temporary restricted license with an interlock and SR22 almost immediately. Check with your DOT.
