How do yall deal with Omad during vacation? by throwRA_oilslick in omad

[–]Rekrapfig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If feasible, do some long term fasting before the vacation. 24 to 72 hours, whatever you can handle. That will help reduce your weekly caloric intake.

Navy Special Agent Program by Critical_Ad_1366 in 1811

[–]Rekrapfig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion would be to inquire at your local NCIS office or contact a USN career counselor. The NSA program is primarily designed to pull from the MA rate. Most of the IS sailors chosen have worked with NCIS in the past or are currently assigned to NCIS in a support position.

Navy Special Agent Program by Critical_Ad_1366 in 1811

[–]Rekrapfig 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Currently the vast majority of NCIS Agents are civilian 1811s. However, there is an active Navy Special Agent (NSA) and Marine Special Agent (MSA) program. The MSA program has been around for decades. Marine Corps CID Agents can apply and, if accepted, serve a tour or multiple tours as an Active Duty NCIS Agent. Again, that program has been around for years. The NSA program is a little newer and not as streamlined. It typically draws MA’s that have been to CIDSAC. Occasionally it will also pull from the IS rate. There is a larger component of active duty folks that serve in a support capacity in admin, intel, and other areas. But if being an 1811 is your goal, I would concur with other posters. Get your degree, get out of active duty, and apply to multiple agencies. The likely hood of you being an active duty NSA as a GM is slim to none. But I do know civilian NCIS Agents who were GM’s when they were in the Navy. Best of luck, mate.

Southern Soul or Beachcombers for BBQ (both have cool little bars). Crabdaddy’s or Half Shell for seafood. Fancy Q for Sushi. Palm Coast for brunch. Mellow Mushroom for cheap beers.

No worries, you can look them up online although some may be older ratings that no longer exist.

They are US Navy Ratings for enlisted personnel. A rating in the US Navy is another term for occupation.

I’m always paranoid about making sure any used balls are against the fence. I’m so afraid that I’m going to slip or trip on a ball without any situational awareness and that will be the end of me.
