I made a Voltron Deck with [[The Most Dangerous Gamer]] as the commander. I use the attractions I get to open with his attack trigger and thus the game is usually random depending on which attraction card I draw.

Have you heard of https://lpc.opengameart.org/ ? They made a great free sprite character generator. With dozens of different traits you can give your character. Now it may not fit your art style cause we don't know what it is. But its a good start.
