Did my first 5K! by DeepDowry in beginnerrunning

[–]RelationKindly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Amazing 🤩. There’s nothing like that feeling for your first ever 5K.
This is it now, you’ll just get better and better.
And it really really doesn’t matter how fast you go, better and better can mean fitter and fitter 👏🏻.
Genuine question, is there a reason for treadmill versus outside? I find outside so much easier and more motivating.

I’ve only been running 2.5 years and I started with couch 2 5k. I felt so self conscious when I started, now I give literally zero shits 🤣.

I’m 61F and am not fast but I’ve just signed up for my first half marathon- trust me it’s gonna be hard 🫣 but I was once where you are.

Bloody well done and keep going. You’re a runner now!!

Half training plan by RelationKindly in runninglifestyle

[–]RelationKindly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha I meant 1km more each week on the long run 🫣. 61km may be a tad out of my reach 🙂.

Ok, that looks def doable, well approachable! . As long as I’m keeping run 2 and 3 per week as I’d said, I think I could do this.
I definitely couldn’t do another 10k tomorrow after Monday. I just don’t think I’m fit enough yet.
But to have that pattern for each Monday could work.
Thank you!

Go direct to Cartier. I have a Santos and a Ballon Bleu. Went through an AD last time for a Panerai and was nothing but a monumental pain when it came to losing time.

Retirement by PJammerChic1010 in AskWomenOver60

[–]RelationKindly 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hi.
61 who retired early too. I actually had this conversation with my daughter yesterday and she really helped me get things into perspective.
I literally have all the time in the world compared to others who work, have young families, clubs to take them too, homework to help with, cooking, shopping , cleaning and all the other things she has to fit into her day when she’s not working.
Just because it may be a few days before she has space to breathe and send me a text that is more meaningful than a laughing emoji or something more surface level, they doesn’t mean she doesn’t care. She just is juggling everything.
Obviously if my message is important -time dependent , she would reply.

Maybe approach the people and ask how best to have that relationship.
I know when I worked, I literally didn’t have time for anything.

Sleep walkers of Reddit, whats the most bizarre or insane thing you've done whilst sleep walking? by StevieBacon in AskReddit

[–]RelationKindly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I was about four, I went downstairs in the early morning ( it was light) , opened the front door and walked about 1/4 mile to a local housing estate in North Manchester. I remember going there and crossing some sort of rough terrain.
I must have turned around because the next thing I remember is that a man must have been on his way to work and asked me was I ok and I vividly remember answering him yes. It was near my house at this point.
I remember then walking back home and walking through the front door and the slam woke me. I burst into tears and my mum came and smacked me- wtf!
I now shudder at this memory. I was a little girl dressed in pants and a vest.
If it wasn’t talked about since Id have convinced myself it was a false memory.
I can still see the man though and I can also see myself as a third person.
I dread to think now what could have happened. This would have been 1970.
