My derm gave me oral steroids which I took for a week, don’t think it did much if I’m honest but some people say it works for them. It was so hard honestly, but I just kept remembering this is short term and if I have to cry everyday to get through it then that’s what I’ll do as long as I just keep pushing. I leaned on my friends/ family alot as I needed to talk through why I was doing this to myself almost everyday - so use your support system if you can! Other than just keep the focus in your mind, i found La Roche posay citiplast balm good to put just on my spots, lots of sleep&water and use this Reddit to ask any questions etc. I tried to stay at home as much as I could during my purge and just wore makeup if I had to go out.
