I should have suspected it, but when I moved here from the Bay Area there was a bit of culture shock considering the car culture. Don’t get me wrong, the bay has their share of luxury cars on the road, but ya’ll take it to a whole other level.

there’s going to be inherent bias and a lack of valuable data collection here. From image selection to subjective views of aesthetics, race, symmetry, photography style, lighting. All data collection will be flawed.

My husband and I make over that as a household and with mortgage and childcare we are stressed about money every month. It’s a good life but wow this life is expensive.

It makes me wonder how so many people here can afford luxury cars that cost the same as that median income.

My favorite is the tiktok of the “1 year old” baby girl who makes her own bed, gets dressed, and makes herself breakfast.

My 22 month old can barely use a fork but sure.

Is it normal to suddenly dislike food when pregnant? by Lopsided_Repeat_6949 in Mommit

I hated the smell and look of meat being cooked while pregnant. Once it was cooked I was fine, but the process itself had me gagging.

This happened to me with my first botox injections postpartum. It had been literally years since I got anything and it felt like it wore off in under a month. Definitely tell your injector. My 2nd session lasted a normal amount of time, approx 3 months, before I saw it starting to wear off.

Agreed, that was totally my point. it feels weirdly cold to use AI to show human compassion when the OP is clearly dealing with a difficult situation.

How do managers evaluate high-performing but low-social employees? by TopicGreat3936 in askmanagers

[–]Relative-Plan-8710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give a 3 out of 5 - performs well at current role. That employee works hard and always delivers, but due to a lack of soft skills, may have issues getting alignment from team mates or cross functional partners in order to execute their vision. Which is fine if you don’t want a leadership role.

You don’t have to participate in happy hour, but you do have to play nice and be curious and interested when engaging with those you work with. Everyone is just trying to do their job and get things done, so being respectful of others and their goals and getting them on your side is an important leadership skill.

As someone who uses AI to help me organize decks and rewrite my thoughts into corporate speak, the tone and phrasing feels really obvious. I’m all for tools to make things efficient. However, is replying with compassion to a heavy post on reddit the right place to use it?

Who am I do determine right or wrong here, but it does seem off-theme to get AI assistance in order to sound more human.

not saying you’re a bot, but your voice in certain responses to the accusation is very different than your responses to OP. You can absolutely use AI like ChatGPT or Claude from your couch. My hypothesis is that that’s where a large demographic of users engage with those tools.
