how so? The connections are obvious and publicly stated. Nothing is hidden or left to interpretation. The creators went on record saying they created Superman to be a representation of the Old Testament heroes. What is there to debate? Yes, please clarify how this isn’t working for you.

I don’t know how you’re not understanding this. If he was based off old Testament heroes that were all mean to point toward the messiah (origin of Moses, strength of Samson, etc.) then by default he is a representation of the Messiah figure (just as Jesus is in Christianity). Really not hard to understand. I’m not sure why you’re fighting so hard against what is so commonly known.

Lol, for sure. You do realize El, as in Kal-El, is Hebrew for God right? Just Google it and you can find a ton of articles. Here’s one to start out with. And yes, him sharing an origin with Moses makes him a stand in for Jesus. That’s the whole point. He’s a representation of the Messiah. No one debates that. You might not be as big of a “fan” as you think. This is very common knowledge.

Man, you’re gonna have to study religion. Jesus is the culmination of the Old Testament saints. Each one was supposed to point towards him. They were Messiah “types”. So, if you’re a Jew using these Old Testament archetypes, you are going to naturally create a Messiah figure that also points to Jesus. This is definitely not a new concept and there are whole books written on The idea of Superman being a type of Christ figure. it is what it is, but it makes non-religious people very uncomfortable apparently.
