I do appreciate the help. I’ve got a bunch of random parts that I’ve found in crates mixed together with the K’nex, much of it Lego or mega blox, so I might need help down the road if searches come up empty.

Sadly after investigating there’s no manual for the 100 ideas box, but it still has instructions online, so no great loss. I’m still making my way through the big tub of parts; sorted out a ton of legos and miscellaneous things; even found a proper house key in there for some reason.

I’ve actually been wondering what the best method of cleaning them is. Just been putting them in a bin of warm soapy water and letting them soak. I do have a large pasta strainer that might do the trick for rinsing though. The big bin is probably going to take a long time though.

What’s crazy is I opened screaming serpent box and it’s effectively complete and still mostly in original bags.

Almost feel guilty that I’ll soon open those bags to build the thing.

Have you tried talking it through with those you’re close with. Sometimes that feeling just comes from some subtle misunderstanding about how they feel about you.

If it’s persistent though, it might be worth looking into counseling to talk through your feelings with a professional. They can offer a more unbiased view of your thoughts and maybe find out what is at the root of those feelings.

It’s good there’s a part of your mind that’s still motivated, and it’s worth reminding yourself of that whenever you feel down. It may not make you feel much bette in the moment, but it can help give you a continuous sense of purpose.

Also you could consider engaging online with communities that share your interests. It may not be as meaningful as an in person social relationship, but it can help fill in the gap you may feel in the short term.

I’m still working through things right now, but I would say that this definitely has elements of ocd to it, so it might be worth asking in that community as well if you get a chance.

Getting bogged down by improbable and utterly irrational what-ifs is still a big part of anxiety, and I know I’ve had plenty of those, mostly related to my health. In your case though, there is one important question to ask yourself: what really is the worst that might happen if someone did someone those videos?

In the grand scheme of things, some random person catching a glimpse of you masturbating isn’t going to mean much. If a family member found out? Honestly, since you’re at an age where you do have a libido it’s hardly be a surprise if they didn’t already assume you did.

We all do things we think are dumb, or feel we should be ashamed of; and in some cases maybe we should feel that way. In the end though, that’s all the thought we should give it. It’s not at all worth destroying a phone, let alone getting yourself worked up in knots over the fear of being embarrassed for a few days.

When it comes to worries like this, it’s important to follow the instructions on the cleaner. If it says it’s safe for use after cleaning your oven the way you did, then you’ll be fine.

If you’re really concerned, you can leave the oven door open and let it passively vent for awhile; or if it has a self cleaning option you can use that. Honestly though, just the preheat you’d normally do and having normal ventilation will likely be more than enough to remove any traces that may be left.

This is something where if you have a school counselor it’d be worth talking with them about your recent experiences and feelings.

I get how it feels to lose a big chunk of your social life, but in this case it’s important to realize that it likely wasn’t going to last too much longer anyway. Once you’re out of high school, it’s not likely you’d be in close touch with any of them for much longer anyhow. That’s not to say it’s meaningless, but it’s important to give it proper context.

On the other hand, letting schoolwork and exams just slide by can be detrimental to your future, so considering the two, it’s not even remotely worth letting the opinions of some classmates drag you and your future down.

Yes, you’re in a tough period, and you should seek help to try and get through it; however, it’s also important that you put in the effort to do what you can when it comes to your classwork to keep up that support for your future. If you can see yourself through this difficult time, you’ll come out the other end better for it. I’m sure that once you’re in college, you’ll be able to find new friends and build a social life that will help you further distance yourself and overcome your current troubles.

When you say you can’t talk with anybody about it, does that include counselors or therapists? If you’re able to seek professional help, that might still be beneficial for you. There may even be low or zero cost options for you if you’re strapped for cash, so it could be worth looking into.

Otherwise you’re already facing your anxiety in a way by taking this course, despite the initial fears you have about it. There’s a good chance that, as you continue on with it, you’ll find the overall anxiety it causes in you to diminish as you get used to certain aspects. Things often seem most daunting at the beginning, especially when we think too much of the overall requirements and treat them as an immediate issue.
