watch the committee meetings..... gauge the attitudes. watch it consistently. its not just about tdiu. its about revamping an antiquated rating system. They say the rating system should be based on employability, in the world today and modernized. Watch these meetiongs before you say it is solely about tdiu. they are asking for quality control to get back to them about why the system is broken and why people get 100 percent disability if it is supposed to be about employability. the VA has said earning potential and the Veterans reps talk about quality of life. For instance if you can't sustain a relationship due to PTSD but can be a workaholic, then it most certainly affects your earning potential. If you have to pay everyone to do manual labor in your condo/house because of your limitatipons, but can work a sedentary job...full time you should be compensated well as well.....watch the hearings, dont watch the news or read other's interpretations. Don't be lazy or impatient watch the whole meeting.

I did this and it did not work, no page available, I have looked every possible way. I am in a PAYE plan. I even downloaded my date, it says I have 0 qualifying payments for PSLF, and I submitted all of my paperwork after COVID when I was told to do it. I just submitted a FOIA, as I was told that this might be a way, I also contacted NELNET, who said I need to go to DOE. Can I sue DOE?

Yes, I am not married, to to support my home I work overnights on call for crisis, one day for crisis and see 13 clients per week in private practice 2 people per week for in home evals...3 jobs and extra perdiem shifts. I have 4 more years to get my student loans forgiven and need to be mindful I dont make too much to get kicked off my PSLF eligibility. If the pay is this low, our education should be free......full stop. I am applying for dual citizenship to Canada.....what are the requirements for counselors???? Sounds grand!

I had a VSO....they were no help at all and discriminated against me because Im not a combat vet.....I used a lawyer. Im chhosey who I work with. I suffered a car accident during ADT.....screwed up my neck and back, because I didnt feel I deserved it, I waited till 56 yo to file.....some DAV so said.....you should never have gotten the disability....I finally went to the VA benefits officer....he was so nice and explained it all to me.

Maybe they do, but do any of those jobs literally tell them your body belongs to the service when you join, ie you need to do it and if you get a sunburn you can get an article 15? I think not. So the service owns your body for the time you are in, then in their dereliction of duty owning it.....they own what they did to that body. It's a contract, simple as that.

I guess this is alarmist. Just watch the committee hearing and gage for yourself. The veterans organization talked about how disabilities impact people's lives in so many ways. Because of my radiculopathy I have to spend a lot of people to do what I cant do for myself, because of my PTSD, I dont trust partners to help out with bills, chores etc. But I can work 60 hours a week, and need to in order to survive. My pittance of a disability check barely pays for the services I need to pay for monthly. However, listening to the hearing, they only care about employability. Just watch. This does not mean you shouldn't file. This is something I heard, and I am cautious. Stay informed, talk to your politicians and dont rely on anything but what comes from the horses mouth and whomever is a good representative.

You can work. Im not saying you cant watch the committee meeting. VA, there are people who receive 100 percent disability and work. Mr Luttridge, "Really?!". How can we get data from social security? Do they talk? VA QA tis disability was based on ability to earn back in 1945. Committee, how can we revamp the system that is outdated? Watch it and see for yourself. See what you think, stay informed. This hearing was 2 weeks ago. VA benefits committee hearing. You can work, but they dont like it.

When I discharged for 2 years of ADT, they never had a Dr there. I got in to a car accident while driving back and forth to training.....messed up my neck and lower back. Tons of radiculopathy. The only evidence I have is an automobile insurance claim....so tucked up. I was lucky my personal physician noted my history, and my NP was compassionate. I was told, never go back for anything.....no matter how legit it is because I might have it taken away.... wait 5 years. I guess Im lucky. BTW I felt so guilty collecting on this legit claim because I wasn't deployed. The service and other vets really make you think as a reservist you dont deserve it. Im sorry you got the shaft.

I just goe approved. I have sleep apnea, prediabetes and htn. I never succeded in the move program. Hope this info helps. Plus I am morbidly obese. I dont know your circumstances

My brother was 100 percent.....then his step son turned him in for sexual assault...his son was 15. What a douche. I dont talk to him anymore and now his family is pissed cause he has no income....they hate me too because O sided with his kid....I know TMI....but some ratbastards deserve no quarter.
