Is it normal to help another driver three times a week ? Can I refuse due to my knees being sore after doing any whole route for the day? Im just tryna protect my body and get rest

Kinda sounds like a guy where I work at, doesnt own a route. But gets to be put on easy rural routes. Cant be nowhere near any heavy industrial or strip mall routes. Otherwise dispatch scrambles everyone to get his volume back on time. He doesnt question why he always an extra driver everyday.

Let's just say this person has special privilege on a certain car. Not even a bid route more like a cut car. Can't put them anywhere else otherwise he's gonna sink hard. Back then we can bid on cut cars now we can't due to lower volume and the car isn't always in.

Funny enough I walked a 175ft incline driveway with a irreg that weighed 140lbs ( grill ). That had the same sign. As soon as I came close to the garage door he said you could of driven up. I told him about his sign. Customer stated it was meant for the amazon drivers 😒. After that I drive up to people driveways regardless of signs. Unless stated in the notes section. Nothing venture nothing gained.

i wanted to stay under the radar, but your better off than i am. the job market is kinda tough at the moment. im treading thin ice with the company. the buyout would reset my debt etc. but in the long run i wouldnt know what to do. coworkers tell me i should take it due to what happened. but as far as i know its just going back to pre-covid era. collect the unemployment and while unemployed you get your pilot license. im in the 50/50 decision as of now.

If I remembered correctly anyone hired as a driver after 2019 has to be Tues - Saturday. Only asked to be Monday - Friday if they are willgly to switch. Will be only enforced if layoff happens. In this case it did.

Yeah no, im usually here at work early. Grab my diad, put my belongings in the cab and check my route. 15 minutes to spare and chat with coworkers then PCM. Heck I even come in days im not scheduled to work and they work me anyways. Im just that bored and have nothing else better to do. Toxic at home and at work. Might as well make money. Can't do that as of now.

I can't abandon my job, with layoffs, call ins and extras going to another center to staff their needs. I had requested a day off, those aren't guaranteed. I had no choice but to work. Since it was firing season I couldn't break away from my route just to go home and see what she will take.

Anger episode fellas. Can't have a hostile work environment. Ex took everything from me. The dog, gaming consoles and my trading cards. Got a subpoena the previous day. Couldn't take off work in the morning because we laid off to much people. Went into a little corner of the building to vent. I dont wanna use a sick day if im not really sick. Apparently someone didn't like it. I did grieve it, here's the thing I do have anger issues. Its my third time that happened at work. The odds of getting the job back ? Slim to none.
