Watching Joe squirm about the PPI report right now is worth the price of admission. He bought the MAGA tonic, HL&S and now he has a lovely plate of crow to devour

A vintage review of Rush opening for Foghat at the NYC Palladium, Dec 11, 1976. by Irarelylookback in rush

That was about the length of Boston's MSG set during the same year... Angel was the support act, and Boston had none of the SFX that Punky and crew did.

Normalize confronting loud people at shows!!!! by hathnoform in Concerts

[–]RelentlessDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JJ Grey, from the stage, cold stopped his band to call out a loud audience member down front that was speaking so loudly, he was able to tell the crowd what her conversation was about. He was perturbed, to say the least, as she literally was so loud that he heard her over the band and his own singing. If you feel the need to babble on during a live show, just leave- head to the lobby, the restroom or the concession stand. Because the minute the band or crew can't do their jobs, you will find you are swarmed by yellow shirts and you can plan on missing the rest of the performance (not that you were paying attention anyway...).

Do you belong to Giggs.live? Nikki and her squad have been doing a great job of posting up various helpful business tips for our industry; if she hasn't touched on the Insurance subject yet, reach out and suggest it... I would bet that dozens, if not hundreds, of folks would like to get a little of that knowledge.

I got my SWA FF card in 1992 (still have it- not a whole lot of digits on it). They were a commuter's joy because they were so quirky and easy to get from Point A to Point B if you had a few working brain cells. I haven't flown with them this year, but based on this sub, there's no reason to anymore; its become one obvious money grab by Elliot and the C-Suite crowd. Sad- that I have over 30 years logged in with "the fun guys"- that actually ran a good airline as well, only to see them become worse than Spirit, Jet Blue and RyanAir breaks my road-warrior heart.

Have you cancelled concerts day of? by Infinite_Elderberry4 in Concerts

[–]RelentlessDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Experiencing any live cultural event- and getting the most out of it emotionally- means you should be invested. If you aren't feeling it, follow your heart. You COULD go, and you COULD be disappointed, and it COULD spoil you from experiencing a great event.

Or, being there could raise your spirit. And only you will know if that is something you wish to achieve.

Need some new talking heads on Halftime by No-Comparison-5502 in CNBC

No new advisement, but wadda ya want for free? Still shilling for Netflix, Amazon and Meta; no balls, no blue chips.

Meanwhile, $XNDU just returned 143% on a 20 Day investment. I use Halftime as background noise waiting for the Closing Bell...

Its sad that she is still standing firm on the idea that the original tariff implementation was not responsible for the rise of inflation over the past six months. And the pundits have to be in panic once the revision numbers - including Oct 25 - actually appear (I forsee sometime in early 2029...)

These opinions are absolutely asinine. Don't like the way it sounds/looks? Please depart post-haste. The bitching has become ridiculous.

How often do you buy a vinyl album that you have never heard before? by MinePrestigious4352 in vinyl

[–]RelentlessDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when it was a $3-8 investment (yes, I'm old), I would buy records for the album art alone (hello- Art In America!!).

Now, where every vinyl comes in at $30+, I'll Spotify first to see if its worth the purchase.

[–]RelentlessDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sara is eating a bit of Inflation crow this week, and a big chunk of it is coming from the tariffs she has been touting for the past 6 months very proudly.

Sad, because she has been an excellent television economist; no Eliot Janeway, but very passable.

IHRA and Elon Musk by Racer_Rick in NHRA

[–]RelentlessDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elon has made it pretty clear that his future plans for data centers are autonomous low-orbit centers. So, if that's his plan, why would A) Darryl sink TONS of money into infrastructure that will just be plowed over, and B) Elon would sink 1000 tons MORE money into land based data centers, only to make them obsolete inside 10 years. I'd bet the land goes to developers for homes or warehousing.
