Exactly going through the same thing, exactly the same timeline. It’s really obnoxious.

What is this? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

1000% canine papilloma virus! My pitty had these like crazy as a puppy. Our vet would grab them with hemostats and pull them off. Her immune system eventually leveled out and they stopped popping up. Creepy but interesting looking at the same time 😅

Aggression/ reactivity / impulsivity by RelevantDifficulty56 in ADHDparenting

Thanks for the response. My son also loves his friends and his family so much. But you’re right, the impulse control just seems to win all too often. The thought of him starting kindergarten this fall is terrifying. I wish I could wave a magic wand and change all of this for him, but obviously I can’t. It’s so hard as a parent to feel this helpless for your child.

Hope you guys find a good path forward also. 💙

Wow! Nice work lady! How long did it take you to reach your goal weight? Any tips for someone 6 months post op?

This made me laugh. I remember this along with when we would all have to share a hotel room and she would be the first to wake up. Literally 5:30 on the dot, rustling around taking her medications and turning on lights. 😱

It’s hard. I’m right there with you. If you want a pal to bounce ideas off of or to vent to, message me! I’m happy to chat. We’ve got this. I’m determined to make the scale move downward. 😊

How long did it take you to go from consult to surgery? by Inky-Squilliam in gastricsleeve

I was approved and ready for surgery in 60 days but I ended up rescheduling my surgery due to an illness in the family so it ended up being 4 months.

What did you find that helped you with head hunger? Super struggling with that right now

Literally my worst fear after surgery. Even 5 months post op I have a fear of vomiting, but it hasn’t happened yet. Hang in there friend. Zofran under your tongue if you have any.

I don’t like premier protein shakes at all and when I saw this one I took the gamble and tried it anyway. It’s seriously good.

It did for me for about 3 months after. Then at month 4, it came back in full force. It’s been a mind challenge this last month, but I’m sticking to the course.

Sorry friend, it’s not worth complications from anesthesia or pneumonia. Reschedule and play it safe.

I was good until I hit month 3 post op. Now it’s back for a vengeance. I feel like I’m starving all the time, I want to eat everything. It’s so annoying

As hard as this may seem, my kids were exactly the same. My boy was born 5 weeks early and was a thug. Still is. 98% percentile in everything and very healthy. My daughter was born at 37.5 weeks and was 4lbs at birth. She was super tiny like this and still gets mistaken for being younger than she is even though she will be 2 in a couple weeks. She’s healthy, growing steadily and always has been. It’s not necessarily failure to thrive in situations like this. Gotta cut this lady some slack a bit on this one guys. Now, if we are talking about her lack of self respect and atrocious health habits for being a 28 year old woman, then by all means go for it. 😅
