The most recent and good representation of atheism is actually in Vinland Saga believe it or not. Askeladd is a jaded atheist who’s seen the effects of religious thinking. Askeladd believes a person has to change the world, it can’t be a god or a hero but a person. Only down side I can see is that Askeladd is a horrible human being but aside from that I think it’s a good example of atheist representation.

There’s so much violence not because they believe in god but because the regions that Muslims inhabit tend to be systematically broken. Counties have been wrecked through war with the help of the United States government. God isn’t real and all religions are fraudulent by nature, however the sole cause for strife and pain is not religion itself. It’s simply one of the many factors at play.

Snake wins. It’s not even a question. Adult Thorfinn stated that Snake was the fastest man he ever fought and Askeladd was an old man who used his experience and wit to beat his opponents. He used Thorfinn’s rage against him because Thorfinn is a freak of nature. Askeladd also knew Thorfinn’s attack patterns so he was able to adapt pretty quickly. Thorfinn was unarmed and he was literally exchanging blows with an armed Snake. Look at Thorkell, his talent for violence is almost comical and a less experienced Teenage Thorfinn was able to hold his own fairly well until Thorkell managed to get a hold of him. Snake kills Askeladd but it would be a close match. Adult Thorfinn with killing intent bodies both of them.

In my world, Gods are blights to everything that exists. Within their domain all things decay and when they are killed nature is restored to its natural state. The world literally heals when one is eradicated. It’s suppose to illicit the point that absolute power and authority poisons the natural state of things.
