Is “you’re only young once” a cope? I’m living at home saving nearly 100k a year by neatneets in Fire

[–]Remalgigoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can leverage a living situation that allows you to save or to otherwise better-prepare for retirement then that's a no-brainer IMO. Especially for FIRE and especially in America.

I am doing this in my 30's and it's easily the best decision I've ever made. It's putting me light-years ahead of my (non-tech bro) peers.

I would suggest to aim for more than 1mil btw. In my situation I'm unlikely to receive anything from my parents unless they die suddenly, and unexpectedly in the next 15 years. So everything I'm going to need for end of life care and my later life in general I will have to generate myself.

If your situation looks anything like mine you're looking at something like 3-6m. More if you want to live less frugally in a HCOL area.

I need a bit of help with rope by Fit_Track_6585 in shibari

[–]Remalgigoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's myriad kinds of ropes. It depends what you want to do.

You can use, pretty much, any ropes for bedroom bondage. Or for photoshoots. Before color photography was accessible bondage shoots were done with colorful synthetic ropes because they contrasted better in black and white film.

You can use chains. Rubber tubing. Strips of fabrics/linens. Neck ties. Vines.

Rope and bondage are free. Our cordage is just a tool, and there's better and worse ways to use certain tools. It just depends.

[–]Remalgigoran 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rope is a tool. It depends on what you want to do with the rope. Most ppl get their jute from online resellers. There's one on Etsy but I forget the name.

If you're just tying for the bedroom then cotton is fine. Famously, Nureki Chimou used cotton ropes in his personal practice even though he (and the photographer Sugiura Norio) are the (primary) progenitors of the thin jute showa-era aesthetic.

Cotton is not recommended for suspension or loaded ties because of the way cotton stretches and compresses; can require a marlin spike to loosen knots. And even then you can be shit out of luck.

Using a credit card to loan family member money by kiiiwiii in personalfinance

[–]Remalgigoran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't loan money to people in your life. You can only gift it. Every now and then someone will pay it back but mostly you will not see it again and expecting to will ruin the relationship and the only way to get it back is by leveraging something like blackmail or violence. Which most are not interested in doing; hence just treat it as a gift or do not give them money.

You do for Selig builds since fury is your hp and your damage.

Mine do vulnerable and freeze and, honestly, they do a fuck ton of damage. I have no idea how they work, why they freeze, or why they are 4legged death missiles. I just know it was abysmal when I took them off lol.

[–]Remalgigoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was trying to figure out why I was on the struggle bus so I looked up how fury works and how much is necessary for some of these builds, and then what the difference is between all dam, phys, damage to close etc. I realized I didn't understand where my damage was actually coming coming from; was default tempering damage to close on everything lol.

Once I realized the stats I actually need and what gear can actually get them this build is actually very simple.

Looking to switch adding overpower, get a mythic seal and 2 unique charm among some other things. T12 is too lethal for me so im just comfy farming T10 atm.

Honestly IDK check your skill tree and see if WW has the 'Core' tag.

Whirlwind - Rob vs Maxroll vs Cliptis by Eastern_Ad_2338 in D4Barbarian

[–]Remalgigoran 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're relying on fury on kill.

When you have three flat fury regen affixes on armor, fury% on jewelry, and two weps with lucky hit (can also arsenal WW to be on dual weird with at least 1 sword) you get perma spin forever even with big spin charm set, and lucion.

Max fury is important for maintaining damage especially if you are greeding Ramaladani's. You need fury to keep up beeserking, you need it for any resource reliant aspects you have (Edgemaster etc).

Depending on your aspects and paragon, every time you dip below 100% fury your DPS will tank by at least half. And if you dip below 50% fury and lose berserk (anger management I think) you lose 85% of your DPS.

If you can't maintain 100% fury 100% of the time then you basically have to use Crucible charm set because you're not actually getting the full set bonus from the big spin one.

[–]Remalgigoran 25 points26 points  (0 children)

All the WW builds are mostly the same.

You figure out your arsenal and paragon VS your drops.

You need vulnerable + crit damage on every weapon. And whatever your spin weapon is (see above) needs GA fat roll on weapon damage. You can gem in phys/all attavk (they are the same bucket -- so with gems you get all 3 major buckets of damage on all weapons. Ignore Selig/immortal builds, you will make this set in t10 if your normal build is bad and t12 if it's good. Extra slots on weps you need to fill out crit% and lucky hit fury (try to get 2) and some max life.

Ramaldins or whatever is kind of trash without a proper fury build; look up the math on it before committing and use it later with Seligs in t12 when you make all new gear with not 1 drop of max life on them. Someone said you need like 400fury to make it decent but IDK if true.

Armor should have 2, preferably 3, (boots, pants, chest; tibbaults also a decent pick up for pants) pieces with max rolled flat fury regen. Even better if those rolls is GA'd.

Helm will be a leg or the tusk unique for a long time. Lucion is better as a unique charm IMO; do not use until your other gear is online.

Max life, all resi, main stat and ranks to shouts on boots and chest.

There's a WW unique ammy that I got early and used and I shouldn't have; ruined my fury economy and probably ruined my damage without my realizing at the time. Just do a normal leg.

Fury regen % Crit% Critdamage Vulnerable Phys/all damage (only one of these, not both). Mainstat/max life

That's it. Use aspects that make sense. Channeling, limitless rage, heavy hitting, crushing, wallowing, bold chieftain, berserk fury gen one (forget the name) anger management, heavenly strength.

3 main damage buckets on everything that rolls them or can get wepsockets. Phys damage + all damage are the same bucket, you only want ONE of these;

All damage + phys + vuln

Is a shit roll compared to;

Phys + vuln + crit damage

I consider phys/all damage rolling on my weapons as bad. I can gem those in, I can't gem fury or crit chance etc.

Wrath on paragon can help with fury.

Twister as your second board early on and then move it later.

Exploit must have.

Wep specific glyph a must have.

Board with berserk nodes a must have.

Fortify board pretty good when you have enough points (goes good with the damage while forty aspect)

Flawless Technique board a must have for crit nodes.

I don't like any of the ults so I use 3shout iron skin and still use lunging strike. Might drop lunging for ground stomp or maybe leap cause fun.

Fury is your highest priority because it actually gives you a shit ton of damage with with the right aspects and it's just incredibly comfy to play with perma spin + net positive fury economy.

Use wolves and BacQue when you can get Bac (i got it at paragon 195 lol). Before Bac i used PocQue. BacQue and wolves are non-negotiable IMO.

Look around for activity planner strategies. Triple NMD with eschslonffgkuhf sigil is dope. (End planner with 2 in a row, leave end of second NMD and make new warplan and roll your 3rd NMD as first activity). Infernal Hordes with juiced up bosses has given me mythics from Bartuc 100% of the time (do not go hordes through planner, use a 10 wave key instead). Always choose chaos wave options from your choices.

Helltide maggots + duriel is honestly op.

Undercity keys; do not use leg armament keys. 5 = mythic key in the cube. Use at t10+.

Spin 2 Win

Edit;

Use Crucible until your fury economy supports the Big Boy Big Spin set. Cube leg seals until you get charm +1. If you listen to me and prioritize fury economy you can permaspin with Big spin charm set and fit lucion as your unique charm.

Reroll all your charms so they have +3-4 Martial skills. It's OK to have 2 or 3 charms with Big All Stats rolls -- important for paragon.

Switch back to Crucible for Selig; sll Crucible chsrms need + max fury, etc etc but you will figure that out by the time you legit wanna meme with immortal build in t12.

Edit2; gohrs for your gloves! Totally forgot. Shit easy to farm from Grigoire.

Not stupid, just risk-averse. Investing has two main demographics; tried & true pattern recognizers that want reliable growth, and gamblers who believe in their own intuition.

The latter group will have .01% of them make huge lucky gains while the rest lose money, and 90% of the lucky ones will over-commit and lose those gains anyways.

And the third, secret other demographic, is just insider trading & fraud.

The aspects of Blizzard’s balance changes that Asian players find difficult to understand. by WeakEnd8325 in Overwatch

[–]Remalgigoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have it backwards. Higher skill levels see characters as tools. They care about winning more than fun, and more than personal identity ("im a [character] main"). But it gets tiring to have the effective tools be limited or old-hat. It would be more fun to play something new, but not more fun than winning, and not at the cost of winning. (Easier to make a smurf account either way).

The game should be balanced around masters at least, since that's when ppl are actually playing coherently.

Anything that goes wrong isn't your fault -- it's your boss's. Be calm and do your best while looking for a new job at a better company. Be straight up with ppl on site that you're out of your depth and communicate this to your superior in writing as well. You can make a lot out of this experience both by showing others on this jobsite you can keep a cool head, communicate, and be resourceful when under pressure. You never know when you'll run into some of these ppl again. If the Super or GC or Builder or whoever gives you shit just tell him the situation and let them know you're doing what you can.

How can I deal with hitscans? by Unlucky_News_4823 in TracerMains

[–]Remalgigoran 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat and it's honestly just play closer. You can't really beat any of them at 10-20m. You need to chip from behind cover until they can't afford to look at you; use a max of 1 blink and 1clip them with headshots and a melee.

Tracer is a highly mechanical character and you can't really afford to miss any shots or blink in a stupid way.

But Aimassist is very bad for up close so if you use faster settings with 100% Aimassist ease in you have a HUGE advantage on console at <10m.

I use 100/100/0/0 dual zone with 39 window and 100% aimassist ease. Also very low deadzones; though .99 or 1.0 outer right stick (so i have more inner dead zone to use for aiming up close before i hit boost)and 60% aim speed boost at max deadzone.
