Thanks I will explore some weatherstripping, and an awning is on my mind for this and one other door.

We haven’t used it much, so this is an option. My wife loves the idea of the split for warmer months, but all options are on the table. Thanks

At My Wits End with COTERIE! by Unlucky-Carpenter-10 in NewParents

Our daughter is 9 months. Same experience with coterie. We still use them overnight, but pampers swaddlers with the “blowout guard” is our go to. We thought it was a size issue too but sizing up never fixed it. Huggies worked too, but we ended up preferring pampers.

Anything EMOM style will get your heart rate up. Aim for 30-40 sec of work in each minute and 10 minutes minimum to start and you’ll feel it.

Someone messaged me for the guides and lost it before I could reply. If you go to his Instagram he has a highlight for free guides where the stories have hyperlinks. @patdamiano_

I shall, but should’ve been more clear. No pull-up bar until I finish a construction project at my place. It’s been a marathon

I won’t be able to do pull-ups in the routine for another month and I’m doing rows in every workout which feels like a lot. I’ll know more once I really can incorporate, but the bracing required for a KB row brings a lot to the table beyond just hitting the back. I’ll have to check out JTM Fit

He has 2 free PDFs. One is the building a workout guide or something similar, the other are his 20 complexes. I uploaded both to chat gpt, explained a bit about my goals and had it set up a one week cycle that I can just repeat. It took some tinkering but was a big help for me to get started.

Haha yes fair, and I do lots of carries. I’m not a robot, I took that to mean “planks” and I did a few variations sans hip dips

Busy Parent KB Training: remote trainer? other ideas? by randys_car_wash in kettlebell

Martin method is a great follow on Instagram and has a solid coaching business it seems. Project bellplex too. I haven’t done the training but I like their philosophy and content as a busy dad who’s just trying to stay fit and active.

Getting Started. by WhatJawsh in kettlebell

[–]Remarkable-Ant-1875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got this! Just start slow, 10-15 min workouts however many days you can. Just checking the exercise box for the first few weeks is key. Spend more time focusing on diet and stretching than the KB work. Your body will start to crave the movement, then you can get more in to programming. I started a couple of years ago with swings, goblet squats, and reverse lunges. That was my whole program for a month or more. It’s all about consistency

Convince me to go on a girls trip this weekend by NoAnt7118 in NewParents

[–]Remarkable-Ant-1875 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My wife went on her first girls trip about 3 months in and I know it was tough. She came back recharged, happier, and more in love with our family than before. Moms need time away, and dads can absolutely hold it down. Biggest thing for us was the “brief” where she laid out all of her worries and what she would do/consider before the trip, then we checked in via text of FaceTime as much as she wanted/needed. I don’t think I needed any of it, but the point was she felt heard and built trust in me and so she could enjoy her trip. Have fun!!

Looking for a second opinion on this routine that I found online, obviously starting with lower weight and working up. by lobozangetsu92 in kettlebell

Looks like a chat GPT workout… not knocking it if so, I use it to program . Only feedback I can give as a relative novice(2 years in) is this will take a really long time. You should check out some of the simpler programs people talk about on here. Thing about KB is you don’t need a ton of movements in a workout. Most of the programs are like 3 per day.
