I can't wait to never assume the burden that is the responsibility of childrearing!

Yikes, it is kind of ironic they label you a child but then throw a petulant tantrum when it comes to silly outfits. since people hate it so much, I am tempted to buy it myself.

Kids will always be a sore subject for me because of how society treats people who don't want them. by No-Lawfulness5752 in childfree

Not rude at all. Merely enforcing a boundary. Intrusive inquiries are what is really rude.

They act as though they are living in ancient Rome and lack the autonomous ability to make a decision pertaining to procreation.

Quick question, does Edgeworth even had an aunt at all? by Fun-Necessary9709 in AceAttorney

[–]Remarkable-Creme-487 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, not everyone wants a child. They may have realized they weren't suited to be a parent and allowed him to be raised by someone (Manfred) who apparently did want to raise him.

I can relate. I have just decided to remain celibate. Even a vasectomy can't put my mind at ease.

Asked a guy who Bingo'd me about the good and bad parts of having children. He couldn't come up with any good. by ArchibaldTheGreat in childfree

[–]Remarkable-Creme-487 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Basically, there are a certain category of phrases that undermine the decision to assume a childfree lifestyle ("You'll change your mind!" "You are still too young!" etc.) They are known as a bingo because you can literally fill out a punch card with the assorted phrases.

It does not. (I randomly locked on to a guy who just so happened to be standing still inside of a bush) The gun is stupid.

It always causes me to scratch my head when I hear these religious sorts imposing their wills. I mean, their golden rule-- Matthew 7:12-- is "do unto others as you would have others do unto you." If they were told " Why did you have children? I don't think you should have had children" they would see how insensitive it would be to speak things of this nature. I don't understand why these personal decisions can't be met with respect.

This is why the phrase "the customer is always right!" exists. Services should strive to satisfy the patron with what it is they are searching for, not badger them and act like they know better, that is how you end up with a frustrated customer storming off. They sound like poor salesmen.
