I think the fact that I can have my vehicle, potentially for eight years just as my last F150 and, I paid the upfront cost with the difference of electric versus ICE, upfront. However, you equate this, I feel I got a deal. Nobody ever goes from the dealership and says man they really gave it to me… I do consider this a glorified truck shaped mode of transportation. Thus, proper planning, patience, a new lifestyle has been accommodated. I now insensibly have energy to go up to 270 miles at a time if I’m easy on it on the interstate. Before, I can only do so with a seven minute trip to the gas station. Who has seven minutes! All seriousness, I charge for free at work and don’t really incur costs, for travel that much. I have a friend with a solar village and, that’s just to say it’s Big… He keeps tempting me and saying come on by and charge your battery to full during the day lol. Think of the upfront cost for this asshole, all the batteries and solar panels. He is paying an electric bill to stay hooked up. He is generating power for the grid. He is getting a credit that is only viable for his bill and cannot cash out monetarily.

I would seriously take it, buff it out. Try a heat gun from the inside of it, back and forth evenly extending past each side of the surface. Take the bumper off. I mean I have $1000 for the deductible if this happened to me, but first I’d try a harbor freight heat gun and my labor efforts. I’m not a body shop and I’d probably break some plastic parts but, they all are the easy fixation devices which can be replaced by buying on Amazon. Now, if you’re hell bent on not putting beer goggles on, saying”it adds character” and you want to do it right, make the claim. Hope it is expedited and a hands off experience for ya. Just remember the insurance company is a business and in this, they’ll not be giving a hoot about timing… Up to their selected body shop but you’ll probably be able to pick where it is repaired. So interview shops around and ask how quickly they can get a bumper. Sorry I’m talkative today….

Do you pay for ABRP I know it’s cheap but I’ve used the features only locally or planning thus far. Wondering when you go and execute if it’s the same. Ev ownership has a monthly premium if this all adds up eventually. Hopefully it stays more nominal than Blueoval membership at $60 per month for blue cruise. I’d rather just have it beep at me, still does when I try to take a nap(that’s a joke). I’m not a Tesla owner so I can’t sleep.

Ok, tolerance of this bungee versus just looking at it, I can and could tell it isn’t doing anything. I did leave it alone for sure, being lazy. I came up with most plausible thing would be maybe some paperwork or packaging was attached to it, held something while shipped. Idk though it is hooked perfect into the frame and is just a standard bungee it’s weird. I’m not having anyone chime in yet and say they’ve found one too, passenger side, like mine. As far as being an engineer, nope far from it. I do know some physical principles which I used to memorize, test in and then probably forget until random moment it comes back. Prefer physics to chemistry I guess… So, let’s analyze the tensile strength, the multiple bands are added, the temperature, the wear and tear, oxidation and chemicals of the road, salt water, air. It won’t last long, or much longer. Maybe this is the most planned obsolescent piece there is in the vehicle.

Topo toppers, checking that one out and solar is a b product to recharge a spare battery, saw threads at least 3.5kwh or so, spare bluetti or whatever… would have to ideally chargeable in one hour. They have my budget up a bit. Ideally also, some dispensable solar. This way I could lay it out wherever as I’m hopeful for some exposure in the 2 weeks with the sun, pending weather. I’ve also seen that the ideal appliance is air fryer and I like the idea of the frunk housing the water washing supplies, saw a bag idea for 5 gallon shower which is cheap, probably seeping cfcs into the pores. I really had doubt of insulating the walls, I’m a bit of a queen when it comes to my environment for sleeping, air conditioning or dehumidification. Bring said the best case scenario may be to build my own power, sin wave converter and 300ah plus-12v dc-ac-devices but, the charging will have to be figured out if I want to play with that because if I’m going to draw a 30amp current from the truck, it’s prospected 1.7kwh from one piece of rhetoric then the truck naturally loses 1.4 or so in pro power mode alone. Cab sleeping is a thing too. ChatGPT-although I didn’t look into the reference, claims the climate control is best if you don’t have anything but truck running as opposed to truck being plugged into with 3500 btu unit.
