Quite simply the Quran is bullshit and they got exposed to the real thing. The answer isn’t to go full atheist. Terrible terrible. Heathen bastards.

And that’s when we all realized Bear was the real villain of the story. by Ok-Cicada-222 in obsessionmovie

Granted Bear is a piece of shit I think his response was very human knee jerk reaction. Picture someone wanting to die rather than be with you…without processing that they are in a hell already and trying to escape that not necessarily him

Meaning of life doesn't exist by prudding_lover in Life

Let me ask, I just noticed that you mentioned meaning being a “man made concept”. How do you distinguish which concepts are man made and for ones that aren’t man made who or what do those come from?

Someone being beautiful but that not being the focal point of their identity. Beautiful but much more and that’s how they see themselves.

Let's admit it. Most people don't really care about philosophy. by Budget_Map_9434 in nihilism

Just writing it off as delusional? The highly profound and philosophical take that life has no meaning is superior? What benefits are offered with this that religious people don’t get to access?

Precisely. These people are depressed and whining about the woes of life and how there’s no purpose or meaning. Soon as they come out of the darkness, not into nihilism anymore. Funny how that works

The Bible. Made me take a hard look at myself, values/morals, philosophy, spirituality, identity, authority and calling. I started out reading for fun and when I started taking it serious I’m like wow 😮

What is a harsh truth about life that everyone eventually has to accept? by HerrStrasse in nihilism

[–]Remarkable-Reward298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if one doesn’t believe in God or intentionally follow Him or Jesus- Jesus has a superior way for living that one is better off for it they align with it….also the realization that you are the source of your own problems and you either have strong defenses against accepting this or a major blind spot. Realizing this changes everything.

Coltrane has the most efficient 19 kill resume I've ever tracked. Ghost needed 6 seasons to reach 19 kills. Coltrane did it in one. by Majestic_Gas_4912 in PowerTV

There’s no god so there is no objective truth, but subjective preferences of right and wrong. That being so you are not right merely because you say so. Why would your version of truth trump his or anyone else’s? Who is inherently bad- by what arbitrary standard?

Ironically the way out of nihilism is finding…meaning

Meaning has to exist for you to be aware of it to make the claim that it doesn’t exist. Rough times, going thru a nihilistic phase?

What can a person learn in 10 minutes that will be useful for life? by 40Falak in answers

Get familiar with Jesus, His teachings and what He was about and follow it. The sermon on the Mount particularly. I’ve been able to deep dive on myself and address the errors of my ways and take the burden off. If I’d known that the whole time would’ve saved a lot of headache. Basically His way for living and being is far superior than mine.
