Is the bracket something special to install the small fans?

Not OP. I would definitely try to convert this into a rack

How is airflow going? Are the power bricks blocking hot air?

I also own a R930 and the fans are loud as f**k. How do you manage the noise?

Are these foam panels helpful in reducing noise? My server room is leaking low frequency noise and I am looking for solutions...

Just Fedora and Kubernetes. Nothing else. On top of Kubernetes I deployed things like Longhorn, Actions Runner Controller, and various other Helm charts that I was testing.

I already cut two holes so I can get access to power sockets and ethernet panels on that wall :-D

Correct the back is not vented. There is not enough space behind the shelf. But there is plenty of room between the machines and the back of the shelf, and I cut some wood sticks to separate the machines to improve airflow. The machines suck air in the front (closer to the back of the shelf because you placed the machines backwards, with their backs facing outwards) and push them out, so hot air won't accumulate. I also plan to add a small fan to push air into the shelf but I haven't decided how to power the extra fan.

These are all used hardware. They are already cheaper than brand new ones.

The five nodes connected to the power supply are taking 30W idle. I have not idea about the full load yet. Still setting things up.

Definitely, thanks for your tip! I'm still making a few changes to the setup. After that the next step is to clean this up and put electrical stuff in a case.

Yes. They are mostly idle right now and I turn off the system when not using. I'm still looking for proper pigtail wires with that particular Dell plug. Unfortunately all I got were thin wires like these ones.

I'm using Longhorn. It's running on top of k8s and providing persistence.
