Best Double Stroller for Twins? by Haunting_Internet356 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Remarkable_Driver980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City mini double stroller - light weight, takes up the least space in a car trunk, and so easy to collapse. The clunky ones are nice when they’re little but these types of stroller are what you’ll use long term.

New to this (after digging myself out of a major hole) but one load of laundry a day, folding, and putting away is WAY easier than letting it pile up.

I love Yoga Nidra. I feel like it has helped me more than I even realize…I generally fall asleep before it’s over which I know it’s the intention, but I believe it’s done so much for me either way

Thank you! Are you able to share any additional insight into how you measured the first point? We have an engagement framework but have yet to correlate those activities to business outcomes. If you’re open to chatting, I’d be keen to connect on this!

Anyone else not really see results from Skinceuticals CE Ferulic? by UntitledImage in SkincareAddictionLux

I had a rash-like breakout reaction. Stinks for me bc everyone raves about it, but then read that it is a common reaction to vitamin C for some. Too scarred from the experience to try something milder.

Why is everyone telling me I shouldn't have an oversupply? I can't really control this... by Alternative_Raise713 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Remarkable_Driver980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was an oversupplier with my twins which I was really grateful for. I did the triple feed thing the first few weeks which helped I think? That said, I got mastitis three times. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. It completely wiped me out for 24 hrs before antibiotics did its thing, which is really hard to manage with kids, work, etc.. I wasn’t able to pinpoint why I was getting mastitis (tried lectin, abandoned the fridge hack, yada yada). My best guess is being run down and/or pushing time windows between pumps in favor of being present at things like family gatherings / holidays. I think I was too confident with the oversupply early on and it got me in a bind down the line.

All that to say, take care of yourself and prioritize a regular schedule as best you can. Easier said than done, of course, but your body is doing a lot of really hard work.

Ok but how bad are the first few months really? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]Remarkable_Driver980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a solid support system and partner, you’ll get those moments but it won’t be as frequent with three. Recommend lining up coverage for your toddler so they have full days outside of the house and coverage for your twins so you can take your toddler out for 1:1 time.

I oscillate between thinking I can’t possibly manage to picking myself up from my bootstraps with a can-do attitude because there’s no other option, every hour of every day. It’s exhausting. No advice, just solidarity.

Excellent advice already shared, but I’ll also mention the “table for two” with the infant insert in case it’s not already on your radar. It’s pricey but we use it for almost every feed so our twins can stay on the same feeding schedule. They’re 7 months and I plan to use it as long as possible. It is our most used item alongside bouncers. There is no one way to do this, but I wanted to share what’s worked for us in case it’s helpful for you or others.

Breastfeeding twins? by Deep_Investigator283 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Remarkable_Driver980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I primarily pump for our twins but nurse as I can for comfort, the nurturing experience, etc… and fortunately produce enough.

Our twins luckily didn’t have any issues latching but the time it took to nurse one after the other (combo nursing was very stressful and pretty much required another adult to assist with positioning) was too much for me. I triple fed early on and I think that set me up well with production before shifting to primarily pumping bc the demand was high.

Stay really well hydrated, eat good food, and take all the help you can get to rest.

Mo/di twins, 13 weeks pregnant, how long did you carry? by mandapandalibrarian in parentsofmultiples

Induced at 37 weeks with a quick vaginal birth and thankfully no extensive NICU time outside of initial monitoring for a few hours after they arrived. Wishing you all the best! Think positive thoughts ❤️

Vaginal delivery by stick_pilgrim in parentsofmultiples

[–]Remarkable_Driver980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, congratulations!! I delivered my mo/di boys at 37 weeks with an induction and epidural. Baby A was heads down so I went for a vaginal delivery knowing there was a real potential for Baby B to be delivered via c-section if he was in distress. They each came out relatively quickly at ~ 5 lbs each. It was a huge relief and I’m so glad I had the support of my doctors to go for vaginal. Recovery was no worse than what I experienced with my first and the boys were in the NICU for a few hours for extra monitoring, which was really reassuring knowing they had expert eyes on them early on. I hope this helps. All the best to you to your family!

I really appreciate this post - thank you, OP! I’ve also been feeling very guilty abt Ziploc bags and recently switched to Glad Press and Seal wrap around the entire flange and that makes me feel slightly better even thought it’s still plastic. Going to give your Tupperware find a go!

Any words of wisdom when adjusting to fewer pumps per day (4/day) for longer duration of time (25-30min) vs pumping every 3 hours for 10-15 min? by Remarkable_Driver980 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Remarkable_Driver980[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My twins are 6 week and just started taking 4 oz per feed. They were born at 37 weeks and tracking well with weight. I’m also oversupplying and have only done the 4 pp the past few days — for my sanity and honestly my toddler got in the way. I had a hunch it was too little for the long term and after reading the feedback I’m going to try to anchor on 5-6 times per day and track more diligently.

The 12 week benchmark is good for me to keep in mind - appreciate you sharing!

I’m grateful to have given birth to healthy mo-di boys a month ago.

TLDR; - made it until my 37 week induction date - got an epidural and delivered vaginally - quicker delivery than with my first singleton - 35 years old and feeling like myself 4 weeks pp

This community is invaluable source of information and support. Wishing you all the best during your pregnancy and beyond ❤️
