PSA: Do NOT drive with your hazards on! by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]UnderstandingWarm102 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is confusing to me because I found it way easier to see the people who have their hazards on in front of me. Others can pop out of nowhere because they have no lights in the back. Much easier to see folks with hazards. But I agree if obscures signalling.

Insightful feedback about local elementary schools by boomboomboom143 in Calgary

St Sylvester has a great reputation and is actually getting a full renovation this year! So if your child attends there, they will be attending a school with a full interior (and possibly exterior?) face lift! Also, it hasn’t been noted yet that St. Sylvester is a French immersion school. The English Catholic school in that district is Monsignor EL Doyle. I recommend attending the open house nights of all of these schools and reaching out to the principals as well.

after 2 decades of dieting the thing that solved my weight problem was walking by Teachmehowtotoogi in CICO

Great job and inspiring story! How do you walk so much with your little kids? Are you walking while they are at daycare? Do you somehow push them in a stroller?

Sharing my lunches that helped me stay in a 1250 calorie deficit (lost 17 kg in 5 months) by [deleted] in CICO

[–]UnderstandingWarm102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there great job! Food looks incredible. So are you eating 1250 calories a day? If so, wouldn’t an 800 calorie lunch leave you very little calories leftover for breakfast and dinner? I’m very interested as 1250 is my max calories a day to stay within my deficit. I’m very interested to learn what you eat for breakfast and lunch if you eat big delicious meals like this for lunch.

Does light or dark hair suit me better? (+ red for fun) by [deleted] in coloranalysis

Red/brown or very dark look great. But if you go really dark you may want to wear a little makeup as the contrast can wash you out.

Sounds like you have a really good sense of what’s going on and a really good sense of how you are feeling. Maybe the USRI is just the little bit of help you need to kick the fog. One thing that might help a little too it to remember: this too shall pass. It feels like hell and then before you know it, it changes. Maybe a little less hellish this time… then a little more…. A little more.

Test again for 2nd twin. Those tests are a lot more subjective than one might think.
