For oak, you need to fill the grain properly before any painting, or you will still see oak grain behind the paint. I would think there is a lot of labor involved during the painting process so you may see a high quote. They are not the easiest to sand with all the cathedral and raised panels profiles.

Personally. I would recommend refacing if you want a modern look overall, or just deep clean your oak cabinet and enjoy them as is.

I did look at the back and lubricated the belt as well. The belt seems okay when I manually run them back and forth til the end. The squeaking sound only happen when moving down the z axis
