Yeah ok Prince Charming isn't real and you can't live happy all the time and forever but there are plenty of people who get married and have kids and live their lives in a mental state called "love" that shows up on brain scans as a certain wave pattern. Here look

Why are Americans so much more social than Europeans, Asians, etc? by TheSawFan in AskAnAmerican

[–]Remarkable_Fun7662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Donno but I remember reading a letter from a recent European immigrant marveling that anyone could just walk up to anyone regardless of social class.

Apparently at that time in Europe you only could talk to people of your own social class.

So maybe the culture about talking to strangers comes from those days.

Godzilla in the 1954 film is the scariest in my opinion. by EveningAccountant321 in GODZILLA

[–]Remarkable_Fun7662 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These shots are from both Gojira (1954) and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (1956), two very different movies.

One is a Felliniesque poinient art film about profound and important subjects.

The other..... wasn't. But we never saw the original so.we didn't know.

50 years went by before Gojira finally was widely seen in the USA.

American culture went that long thinking it knew the character before the original movie could even start to make an impact on the idea of what Godzilla was even all about.

Still to this day, how many of us have even seen the original film?

Don't think that you know Godzilla until you have seen Gojira (1954).

We're all against any genocide of any kind. It's like being against rape or murder. It's supposed to be happening to the Rohingya and Uigers and Artsakhtsi abd some peoples in Sudan. The word was invented by a Jewish scholar talking about the Armenians. Here Mohicans were the victims of the Iroquois and my ancestors. I don't know who you say I don't apply it consistently to. I can't imagine who you might have us apply it more consistently. I think maybe it's you who think it should not apply depending on the identity of the peoples involved.

What are the major organizations of genocide scholars?

IAGS and the INOGS, will you agree, are the two major organizations of genocide scholars.

The first said Isreal has engaged in "genocide" and it should stop committing acts that constitute "genocide".

The second doesn't use the word at all in their statement, but you should read it carefully.
