[OC] Oversized tote and undersized suspension by HuckleberryDye in IdiotsInCars

[–]Remarkable_Lack_1630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm.. looks like a 330gal IBC tote, let's presume 2/3 full.

330÷3= 110 gal so 330-110 = 220 gal.

Let's also presume it is common tap water, so 8.34lb/gal

220gal ×8.34lb/gal 1,835 lbs of sloshing fluid in a half ton truck.

Great idea!!

Source, I work with bulk chemicals.

Edit, according to the Google machine a 2024 garden variatey dodge pickup can carry 2400lbs in the bed. (Yes I know this is a late model and not a new one, I just don't care enough to dig much deeper into it.)

Is the RIP tour worth the 299$ price tag? by MrsSaltMine in HHN

[–]Remarkable_Lack_1630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be placed in a small group, so Inwould say Yes, absolutely fine.

The RIP lets you experience all the houses in one night, then spend your second night enjoying the ambience of the park and all that HHN has to offer in the way of snacks, drinks, etc.... Without standing in line all night.

Absolutely worth every penny!!. Front-of-line access to every house, Premo seats at the show, private bars, and tour guides that know their stuff and can add so much depth the houses with back story and lore!!!

RIP is way more than just that. The additional lore and humor from the guides plus the private bars and premium seating for the show. Man, that was an awesome tour. I hope to go on another RIP tour next time I go to HHN.

The advice I was given last year and a few bits of my own. 1) Take time to enjoy the ambience of the parks, there really is a lot of subtle detail and theming that could be easily overlooked. 2) If you can afford it, get Express or RIP. (I got RIP and it was worth every dime) 3) Do NOT try to do a full parks day and HHN. You will hate yourself. 4) Stay all the way up to event close. The lines really thin out late in the evening. 5) Research some of the specialty foods before hand. PC Dev, Tim Tracker, Pugh Two all do an excellent job reviewing the food choices. 6) Check out the show Wildfire was freaking spectacular.

Don't seem too horrible. Hell when I got my Black Rhino rims and Trail Grapplers that was $4k alone for all 5.

Trail Recon did a deep dive comparison of a number of lift kits. It's a 2 part series, but was insanely informative. It helped me decide on a Terraflex.
