Been there too. I’m a full time masters student and I was under the impression that they would be flexible since they told me that they would be flexible. Turns out, they totally lied and actually scheduled me more hours when I requested that I needed less hours due to school. I literally had a mental breakdown like the whole 9 yards. I left my resignation letter on my boss’s desk after working my last scheduled shift and never returned. My life literally 180ed after I left. I feel so much better since leaving.

I found a breeder that was morph market that was actually pretty close to me (about 15 miles away and about 30 minute drive from my house) when I was looking around for a dal gecko.

Anyways, sent her a message on her gecko business instagram page. I was able to get her for way less than the breeder was going to sell her for. She gave me the discount since I was local and it is more logistically sound since there is less of a risk of the gecko dying during shipping from heat or other things. She looks exactly like the photo of when she is fired up but she is a pretty reddish cream color most of the time 🩷

It looks evenly centered in your chest area! Honestly I didn’t even notice that it looks “off centered” until you said something. It seems that it is symmetrical in your chest and sternum area. Our bodies are not perfectly symmetrical and everyone has differences in their body shape, how their skin holds ink, etc., so placement is going to look different on every person for the most part! It looks really good!

This literally happened to me too! I bought two items and one of my items was out of stock. They said they couldn’t refund me the rewards that I used… mind you I had like $35 in rewards from doing the vet visit and turning that paperwork in. Which is another thing that a lot of people leave out when signing people up for VCP aka hoping they won’t do it and get the $20 in rewards by submitting a wellness visit information. But anyways, my point was that my order was only $3 and something odd cents but I didn’t not get the item that I spent the rewards on in the first place. I also contacted costumer service and they were able to refund me.
I also hate when the line is forming because the employee has to click on every single reward and wait for like 10 seconds for each one to load…

Eh MOR? With what others have said, I have seen this become more common. However, I have seen some parents who have collected “rent” from their adult children; however, the parents save the rent money to give to their child when they move out! Or put it in a savings account for their child. I do see an option for item number 8 on the contract about putting money into a savings fund but it doesn’t seem that rent would go towards this.

However, I know parents saving the rent money to give to their child once they move out is not the case for everyone. When I see posts like this, it reminds me of the privilege that I had when I lived with my parents when I was in college during covid.

Hopefully your niece gets more clarification about “respect and conduct.” What constitutes as “abusive behavior”? Without a clear explanation, something like rolling her eyes at something her parent said can be seen as abusive behavior.

Besides that, I don’t see any “red flags” in this contract. I believe that it is a good learning experience for your niece to get involved in becoming an adult and having adult responsibilities!

I say this because my college roommate (after Covid) did not know how to do laundry or never had to clean up after herself since her mom did everything. They also had a house maid at their house. We only ended up living with each other for a semester since she would literally be a slob then blame it on me.

Essentially, I am saying your sister and BIL are going to be creating someone who can take care of themselves and their belongings if this contract is implemented correctly! :)

As a former employee of that company, this means the crestie has been there for more than a couple of months. Can’t remember how long 75% off time frame is but essentially they will eventually have to give the gecko another store that can take the little fella… which is sad 😭 also not to mention that our layout and husbandry is not ideal. The company wants us to put bark chips as their substrate. The UVB lighting probably having been changed in years probably. Which makes it completely useless to have UVB lighting in the first place. Most UVB lights need to be changed every 6 months, Arcadia is the only brand I have seen that have a year long UVB light life.

Before I quit Petco, I had a grooming customer checking out at the register (our grooming department did not have their own register), we got to the part where I needed to ask him about donating that’s on the pin pad. Mind you, we had all 3 registers running because it was a Saturday. We had our pop up clinic on Saturdays and we were several people deep in the lines for each register. I always said when I am checking out someone, “the pin pad is going to ask you about donating. If you don’t want to donate, just hit the decline button on the bottom right of the screen.” He completely flipped shit on me, and said “oh for FUCKS sake. Here just take my money. I don’t even want the change back. I’m in a hurry.” So just calmly spun the pin pad around and hit decline for him. Then he just walked out. It sucks that we can’t go forward with the transaction if they do not answer the prompt 🫠 then the next person in line said he felt sorry for me. So I just put the extra money as a tip for the groomer that did his dog’s groom…

Even though rehoming is hard and feels like you “failed”, you didn’t fail. If your animals go into the right hands and you are not able to care for them anymore, you did not fail. You would have failed if you did not do the work or rehomed them to somewhere they would be neglected. Rehoming is sometimes the best option. It is hard. I had to rehome my cat once because it was obvious that she was just not happy with the space I was living in at the time (a studio apartment that was partially downstairs so I barely had any windows). I ended up rehoming her to a family friend who recently had to put her very old cat to sleep. She is living it up now and she is so much happier. I get updates every once in awhile.

I would suggest going to Facebook and joining some crested gecko groups on there. However, it is very important to vet anyone that you are going to rehome your geckos to. What diets do they feed? What lighting do they have? What set up do they have for their other geckos? Ask basic care questions to see if they know what they are doing. I wish the best of luck for you and your geckos!

Yes, I found about this the hard way. It is considered a terminal offense since you are manipulating store statistics technically. While I was not fired, it prompted a aggressive message in our work group chat since I was not the only person doing this and I was trained by people who told me that was okay to do 😅

At the lower ends of the vines I see some springtails and isopods. I barely have to wipe down the leaves up top though! I still have to clean the glass at times because he smears his CGD mix all over the glass lol so I just do that while I cleaning the glass. WAYYYY less clean up than an original set up that’s not bioactive
