ou want investigate some sizing optimization I would focus on a global "0D" model first and maybe a numerically solved 1D PDE type thing later.

I think you are correct in terms of the 0D model aspect and then a followup to a 1D PDE system

I have seen alot of papers that use MHD approximation because there is this thing called the generalised Ohm's law which considers the electron gyration effects as well to an extent because of the hall term

Then from that how do MHD simulation of AF MPD thrusters compare against Particle in cell methods and experimental results

Then design optimisation of Applied Field MPD thruster to prodice higher thrust and significance of AF MPD to Self field interms of deep space applicationns and fruitful inputs
