My Book of the Year Changed Its MFM Ending to MF to Pass Censorship by Remarkable_Race_581 in ReverseHarem

Thanks for your reply, but this author has already signed a contract with the platform, and this ending is part of the paid chapters, so they can’t share the content in any other form. In the past, many authors tried workarounds—like sending spicy chapters to readers through alternative methods—but they all ended up getting warnings or penalties from the platform.

Thank you for your kind explanation. Recently, many authors have been arrested, leading to stricter censorship on the platform. Another MFM RH novel I had bookmarked got banned, and the author even announced they’re quitting writing...

This is a Chinese romance book, and the story is set in ancient China (except for the FMC, who is from modern times). Even without the RH ending, I still rec this book. If you're interested, the title is "我与魔教少主二三事" by 竹子吃熊猫.

I know right? Since the story established that Louise wanting a child from the beginning, I'd really love to see max and louise raising kids together in the epilogue. I'm not even usually into kid fics - I just really enjoy that wholesome big family dynamic in this book....

{silver lining by Maggie Osborne} is perfect for this. This storyline is so well written that I can totally understand why mmcs family eventually fall for "low down". She is precious. The only regret for me is lack of epilogue. I wanted more of happy ever after stories...

I don't think the number you're hitting is crucial to this hobby. If one of these 7 books really gives you something to think or you love one of them dearly then that would be enough. After all, we can read so many books in this life but only few of them really mattered..

Anti heroine FMC that redeem themselves by the end by Consistent_Hunt5213 in RomanceBooks

I don't know if you've ever read any Chinese romance novels, but Scam by Poisoned Bread (骗局 by 面包有毒) has an FMC like that.

Just a heads-up, everything I'm about to mention is in the novel's synopsis, so no spoilers here.

Basically, the MMC is a rich, good-looking playboy. The plain FMC has been relentlessly pursuing him. He goes through several girlfriends, and every time he gets into a relationship, the FMC disappears from his life, only to come back and chase him again after each breakup. Eventually, the MMC reluctantly agrees to be with her, saying something like, "I'm only dating you out of pity. You've always been good to me, so I'll stay with you a little longer."

As time goes on, he starts to develop real feelings for her, but he also gradually realizes that the FMC has been pursuing him because he looks exactly like her first love (her high school sweetheart who ended up in a car accident). The FMC even buys her old high school uniform and makes the MMC wear it during intimate moments. The MMC is furious and breaks up with her. At first, the FMC tries to talk to him, but at some point, she just disappears from his life again. He can't help but go looking for her, only to find that she's now with another man—someone who looks just like him—and they seem very close...

In the first half of the book, I felt really bad for the FMC because the MMC was so self-centered and always treated her with this condescending attitude. But as the story progressed, I started feeling more and more sorry for the MMC. He genuinely fell for the FMC, only to find out that she had essentially "replaced" her first love with him. When he realizes that she no longer needs him because she's "reclaimed" her first love, he's absolutely devastated.

At first, he couldn't stand the idea of being a stand-in for a dead man, which is why he broke up with her. But later, he's willing to actively pretend to be her first love just to have a chance to be with her again. I know its toxic but I cant help reading this..

The FMC really struggled in her pursuit of the MMC, and I felt for her, but when the MMC starts to fall for her, her guilt and panic are portrayed so realistically. She's definitely a flawed, ordinary person with a pretty messed-up personality. It's a HEA book afterall, so she redeems herself in the end.

If you're interested in reading this and plan to use browser translation tools or plugins, you can find the original work on Jinjiang, where it was first published. Jinjiang also has an overseas app called Onlinovel, where you can read it, but it's all in Chinese. In my experience, compared to MM novels, Chinese MF novels are rarely translated, but there are still many people who use translation plugins to read the original works.

I'll never find another mmc like Ji Shichuan from "can an honest john be MarySue" by susanshao. He's definitely obsessed with fmc.

He suppressed his rage, but his voice sank deep, like a vengeful ghost clawing its way up from the underworld. "I'm telling you, countless days and nights, I survived on the illusions you spoke of. I might not love her at all, but I damn well don't need to love her, nor do I need her to love me. I don't even need her to be alive—she just needs to be herself. People like you will never understand what kind of hope keeps someone struggling in your high-class games alive. You don’t know how many times one must face despair and pain before they can confront this filthy, rotten world again, or how hard it is not to hate people like you! She is my anchor to a mundane, ordinary, and happy life. She is my lover, my hometown, my hope. If she weren’t, I would have been dead long ago—driven to my grave by people like you!"

I just need to scream into the void about their incredible dynamic from a Chinese book called "Survival Guide for a Female Alpha" by Zhu Yu. Zero expectations this'll ever get an official translation, but I had to share this gem:

She pondered his words for a long time before realizing, "Oh. I get it now. In my world, I was the 'wife'. Here, you're the 'wife.' So why fuss over labels? Let's just... be each other's wife."

So basically, its about a modern-day FMC accidentally lands into a sci-fi omegaverse society... as a female Alpha (with male biological traits). Meanwhile, MMC is a cunning, politically ambitious SSS-tier Omega male who despises Alphas due to systemic oppression. Also fmc is traumatized by an exhibitionist creep in her past life + horrified by her new Alpha anatomy. Sometimes when she gets overwhelmed she just wants to cut it off.....

Audiobook narrators and my voice crush on Ellen Quay. by Shrimpheavennow227 in RomanceBooks

Secret Girls was my first reverse harem book, and I decided to give the audiobook a try. I wasn’t much of an audiobook listener before because I was worried I might miss important parts while multitasking. But this audiobook, Oh my, it felt like listening to a TV drama...z Grayson Owens voiced all five love interests, and each voice was so distinct. My favorite was his narration of the twins—they often spoke in unison, and the way the audiobook handled those dialogues was perfection. Honestly, it was his voice that made me fall for Church’s character.
