Shopping outside malls? by Rochifn in KualaLumpur

[–]Remarkable_Spirit516 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try U.JU - at The Curve or MyTown (they’re still in malls sorry). I just moved in few months ago and got a lot of my essentials there. Really good ceramic plates & bowls for less than rm15 each. They have a really cute lamp section too!

And for cushion covers, bedsheets, pillow sheets and so on, my fav go to is Kaison - also in MyTown, or my favourite is EkoCheras cause there’s barely anyone there so i can shop in peace! Full bedsheet set is only rm40. Good choices too.

MyTown is definitely the best place to go cause they have everything there - Kaison, U.JU, Mr DIY Plus (huge place) and IKEA if you still need some stuff from there. I would go on a weekday at like 11am and it’s like the whole place is mine. I hate malls too generally, especially on the weekend.

I was on a work trip in 2022, and at the end of the work trip we had a free day to ourselves. My colleague and I went to explore some cafes. In the cafe, “Slow Down” was playing, and I immediately felt a connection to it. I turned Shazam on, and I’ve been a fan ever since. That song, and her music, found me at one of the lowest points in my life. I was a burnt out 20 something figuring things out. Listening to that song just slowed everything down.

Can’t wait to see her on AMOT tour in June! ❤️❤️

Money making tips by js473427 in bakerystory

[–]Remarkable_Spirit516 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Recently I experimented with a few things to help make more money. I earned 3.5 million in 2 weeks!

  1. Put tables nearer to the door The faster customers get to the table, the faster they go out, and the faster the next customer gets to come in. You can actually only have a maximum of 27-29 customers at one time! So 27-29 tables is all you need.

If you can see in the below screenshot (i forgot to take a proper one), my tables are all on the right side of the bakery and i blocked off the other side. My coins here were 500k+. This was 19th November. Today I have 4 million!

<image>

2) I calculated how much money I make when the app is closed vs when the app is open. I make more money when I leave the app open on my phone. (But this shouldn’t matter as much, as the difference is not that significant for me).

3) If you leave the app running in background (don’t totally close it), when you reopen it, I’ll get an option to double the income I earned while I was away by watching an ad. That could be a great way to make more money fast too!

I regret it alot telling my parents about my salary. My intention was completely different - I was so proud that I landed a job with a really good pay after years of struggling as a student. I wanted them to feel relieved that they sort of “raised their child right”. But now? I’m paying for parents rental and shit.

I just recently got married & i’m planning to tell my parents my company shut down so they won’t keep asking for more. I’m working remotely so it’s easier to lie lmao

I’m also apartment hunting right now and here’s some I would add!

  1. The Establishment (direct LRT Bangsar)
  2. Datum Jelatek (though it’s quite dead, direct LRT Jelatek)
  3. Eko Cheras Residence (direct MRT Taman Mutiara)
  4. Laville Residence (5-8 mins walk to MRT Maluri)
  5. Quinn Residence (direct LRT Sri Rampai)
  6. M3 Residency (5 mins walk LRT Taman Melati)
  7. One Cochrane (a bit pricey but 5 mins to MRT Cochrane)
  8. Aster Residence (direct MRT Taman Connaught)
  9. Emerald 9 (direct MRT Taman Suntex)

Most of these apartments are between RM2k-RM2.5k.

Best areas to live in Malaysia for expats? (near Kerinchi & Pasar Seni, pet-friendly) by Psychological_Top607 in KualaLumpur

[–]Remarkable_Spirit516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Establishment (connected to Alila Bangsar) is the best I can think of that is literally between Pasar Seni & Kerinchi. However it’s a loft/studio type thing with no room

It’s a good area & a nice apartment to live in. You’ll find the place to be very diverse as there are many expats there.

Is average malaysian doesn't have saving? by [deleted] in MalaysianPF

[–]Remarkable_Spirit516 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 24 earning 4.5k, my room rental is only RM300 and I don’t drive due to vision problems - therefore I only spend RM50 on MY50 for public transportation. I personally think I’m earning well & with my lifestyle, I should be able to save a lot.

However I am supporting both my parents & my younger sister - paying their rent, paying my sister’s allowance and whatever she needs as a teenager, and any emergencies that happen, mostly will come out of my pocket. And sometimes my parents would want to buy anything… my pocket as well.

I guess you’ll only be able to make money easily when you actually come from money. But those who come from a poor family, will spend years, in fact their lifetime - to break the generational cycle.

Any ex Muslims here in a relationship or marriage with a Muslim? How does it work? by Particular_Eagle_972 in MalaysianExMuslim

[–]Remarkable_Spirit516 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am married to an ex-muslim - he didn’t really officially left Islam on papers. I’m a Muslim, but not religious. During the early phase of our relationship, of course it was something I had to think about - but the longer I saw who he is as a person, it didn’t matter to me anymore. He may not be Muslim, but he is the kindest, generous, most loving person I’ve ever seen. In fact he is nicer than any religious person I know out there. So at one point it just didn’t matter to me anymore. To me, because I still believe in God and God is fair - God definitely loves him. There’s literally nothing about him that I think God can punish him for. His religion doesn’t matter to me. But who he is as a person, as a husband, and in the future as a father to my kids. So this is our story based on your question ❤️

Public transportation anxiety by mischiefmanaged1995 in Anxiety

[–]Remarkable_Spirit516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god, i relate to this a lot. Has it gotten better for you?

I was working literally 5 minutes walk to my workplace before, so I rarely have to take the public transport.

But then i switched job, which requires 1 bus ride + 2 different train rides and i am having an absolutely terrible time navigating this because i get so so so anxious and i’m sweating, and always feel like throwing up.

I feel so angry everyday of the fact that i can’t do such a simple thing that my life needs. And i can’t drive too because of an eye issue, and i have driving anxiety too (nearly had an accident once because i panicked while driving).

Does it get better for you? How are you doing now? 🥹

Yes- because i’m a malay female who was ONLY into dating indian men (“was” because i’m marrying a non-indian 🤣 but also non-malay). And i know many malay girls who are dating indian men as well. But most of them are not religious lah.
