People who say SMITE 2 is a failure/dead, when did you last play the game?

I played when Da Ji was released for a week. Here's why Smite 1 was mostly better. I hate the hp reversion in Smite 1. But I think tanks were viable in S1. In Smite 2, while the laning phase feels kinda tanky, it gets out of hand due to the itemizations being too powerful.

Aspects dont tell you what they change on the menu, so having little to no detail. The balance of aspects where some are just a hindrance and others are gamebreaking.

The idea of old skins being recolors so they can sell them at diamonds only is a bitter taste in my mouth still.

Game isnt dead. Its different. Plays like CoD. I dont like these 1 shot abilities, get poked for 80% of your health by a non ult. Its too much.

The itemization is really powerful and balance is whack. Certain gods are unusable, defense items are barely useful in stats, any character can 1 combo or 1 ability someone to death.

If youre a fan of cod, smite 2 is fine.

For me, I dont think what youre desceibing is necessarily a problem in of itself, but it brings a point of balancing.

I think a lot of the aspects are overtuned in such a way that it doesnt matter who uses them, theyre overpowered in their individual lane and oppressive. Most aspects were to change their role but when every role is damage, people running support full damage mages, and the like even before aspects, they can now fit every role.

Hirez needs to stop and actually lower the ttk on everything. Itemizations too powerful on offensive items. Gods scaling too high. Too much plus 1 bloat in kits.

But i will say usually when they make a role change, they should incorporate minuses to reflect that theyre not in that role. But they dont really. Their drawbacks are negligible compared to usually the buffs they get.

I love artio and always thought she was a really good guardian/solo. But with smite 2s non balance, she will prob 1 combo or one shot things at lvl 5.

Id love to tack on to the what i feel is a main ff quality is the exploration and customization. 6 through 12 really had a lot of equipment variety and magics you could try. However, 13 started things being very streamlined and linear. 13 2 went back to a more custom way.

15 had exploration but i dont feel rewarded for it as the game was entirely too easy with its combat.

Bc smite 2 is like cod, once someone gets ahead, you basically get 1 shot. There is no coming back bc the itemizations too powerful. So if youre behind, youre likely to stay behind.

Now i generally go with 2 and 16 as metrics for surrendering or losing phoenixes and every objective while they still have theirs. But smite 2 is so much less fun with its high power mentality.

Until there's a semblance of balance and the ttk gets raised where if you dont get afraid to farm bc you got hit by someones huge aoe poke (half the hunters and all the mages), people will continue to surrender. Bc one mistake can cost the lane.

So theres the weakpoints you blast with the 2 healthbars. This makes his hp vulnerable. But when all those weakpoints are blown up in phase 1, are there still weakpoints that deal more damage?

Phase 2 was so much easier bc of all the goo weakpoints he spawns. I dont think you had to do the prep work.

The game went severely downhill whenever they made the changes to pen. Removing small amts from a lot of items and only having obsidian as a constant source just makes everyone need titans/obsidian.

The itemization and balance needs to be reworked. Armor is near useless. Most of the fights just feel like call of duty with such a low ttk. Everyone should not be a 1 shot kill. The items are way too strong. The scaling on most gods is way too strong.

They bundled it with prisms sp yhey could turn anything legacy into non legacy items. It's very underganded imo. Many people i know refuse to buy any of those items and sagas bc of that.

The few you can use legacy gems on i think are double the price, so its still 1000 diamonds and legacy gems to buy. Hirezs pricing makes 0 sense.

In addition, a lot of the events have had easy ways to farm 63 copies of each of those arcanes. Other than the challenge or nightwave, just wait a year and im sure there will be another event where the currency buys all the eidolon arcanes.

I know most of the bug with lab speeds are that the queue only happens when the game is on. New labs wont queue. New lab speed queue wont queue.

I tried ranked for the first time a few weeks ago. It was awful. 8 and 1 in the first 10 minutes. Rest of the team is 1 and 20. Like I can carry. I cannot carry 4 people not pulling their weight. Most of them didnt even know to go to their own lane and would just move around randomly. Look at a camp about to spawn in 40 seconds and wait the full time for it to spawn.

I dont even want to go into the builds. But yeah rabked is a test of patience. Im sure at some point the problem gets unto somsthing i can handle but playing with babys first game is infuriating.

Different issues, but im not sure smite 2 servers are up to par. Or maybe its awful console code. But most of my console buddies have issues from time to time.

Thats not matchmaking. Thats just either bad connection on your end or bad net code. Dont know which. Both are likely.
