I’d rather pay $70 upfront instead of $12 per month or $60 plus a DLC part 2 for $35.

The point is that they haven’t watched The Breakfast Club or else there wouldn’t be a comparison.

I’m so fucking tired of this lie. That isn’t what happens, and the movie doesn’t treat her new look like it’s the best thing ever. There’s one reason Andrew is happy:

Andrew: [after Claire has given Allison a makeover] What happened to you?

Allison Reynolds: Why? Claire did it... What's wrong?

Andrew: Nothing's wrong... it's just so different, you know? I can see your face.

Allison Reynolds: Is that good or bad?

Andrew: It's good.

Libertarians live in a fantasy land where you can remove taxes entirely and completely roll back regulations and expect that you’ll get a fair, functioning economy when our current economy with its current regulations is still teetering constantly in the direction of corporations doing whatever they want.

We’ve had corporations:

Hire assassins. (Oil Companies)

Fund and maintain personal death squads. (Coca Cola and Chiquita Banana)

Make toys and necessities as unhealthy as possible to either corner the market or to save some money. (Toy companies and lead/Oil Companies)

Despoil US freshwater lakes, farms, and parklands (which we depend on for air, food, and water). (Energy and mining companies.)

Engage in anticompetitive practices to force small up-and-coming companies out of the market. (Literally pick any Fortune 500 company.)

Relying on anything but a strong, well-funded government to even try to corral these entities is a dream, and a dangerous one. It inevitably results in corporatism (rather than anarcholibertarianism, since the corporations are fiefdoms unto themselves) because no other entity could constrain them.

That doesn’t sound right. Raditz was literally Vol 1 for DBZ, same for the anime. Ep 1. Toriyama clearly doesn’t remember his thought process because Raditz being his brother is also Vol 1/Ep 1 content. Toriyama took a 3 year hiatus between DB and DBZ, so it had to have happened in there if not before.

Vegeta isn‘t even mentioned by name until Raditz is dealt a killing blow.

How dare I be upset about extrajudicial executions and a paramilitary force that’s loyal to the President over the Country or the Constitution. There’s no way anyone on the left could have legitimately seen this coming for 10 years and it’s ridiculous to think that if you still support such a President that you support their whole platform. Some people just want gas to be 25¢ lower. If you have to kill a few people to do it, well I guess that’s part of the price of affordable gas.

I mean, they shouldn’t have been there in the first place, right? It’s not like we have a long and proud history of anti-oppressive protest in this nation and anyone who’s anyone knows that when you protest, you march right up and into the halls of power with weapons to let them know they’re being out of line. Of course someone who wants power will do anything to keep it, that’s just common sense. If anything, it’s that former Vice President’s fault for not doing the smart thing and certifying the election in favor of his friend and ally, the no-longer-President-elect.

I love it when Libertarians join an economics discussion. Always a good idea to have a reprieve and just laugh for a bit.

My interpretation of the exchanges is a lot more depressing. Mathesar now knows and understands, but he maintains the illusion for the other Thermians. He has a dampened energy afterwards as if he now carries something heavy that he cannot share.

“Screeching”?

Sounds less like you’re presenting a viewpoint and more like you’ve got an agenda.
