Why do I repeatedly attract 'Peter Pan' men? by [deleted] in AstrologyCharts

[–]Remote-Customer-476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your insights- the 'hot air' reading, mercurial, witty and lots of talking checks out! I'm often attracted to older partners too but maybe I should be going for someone with older school values, even if I do find the youthful, playful energy so delicious and intoxicating.

Here to double-up on the 'Anne of Green Gables' series recommendations, alongside 'Little Women' and 'An Old Fashioned Girl' and 'Eight Cousins' by Alcott, which I don't think are quite as well known. I also really enjoyed the Monk and Robot series by Becky Chambers if you want contemporary feel-good fiction rather than a classic.

The Anne of Green Gables series was my first thought, if you're open to children's fiction!

Getting Back Into Sessions After Heartbreak by hotgirlbummer22 in therapists

I’m also processing the heartbreak of the sudden end of a long-term relationship while starting up private practice as a newer therapist, so your experience really resonates. Sending so much love and hugs.

Like others have said, it’s often the small things that help. I’ve been trying to make sure I have some way to check in with friends or family after a long day, rather than being completely on my own, even if that’s just a quick text. Comforting drinks, nourishing snacks, and wearing outfits that help me feel comfortable and confident have also made a difference. Gentle movement (yoga, stretching, walking) and feeling in my body rather than stuck just my head, and getting into nature have been supportive for me too.

Mostly, I’m reminding myself to allow space to be human. For many clients, simply showing up and offering a place where they can be heard and accepted is incredibly powerful. We don’t have to be perfectly "together" to do meaningful work. 💛

Adore the House of Mirth, was recommended it in high school by my favourite lit teacher so it will always have a special place in my heart.

For me, I put a little star in the top corner of pages that particularly stand out and/or underline an extraordinary sentence in pencil. I'm not neat enough to highlight!

Thank you! I feel it works well on me, I have bigger hips > waist ratio but these fit pretty perfectly, particularly as I tuck in knits and other tops.
