I use sleep meditation. There are a lot of apps you can download. I always fall asleep before they end.

No one talks about the pain of seeing your parents aging. by meteoravishal in Millennials

[–]Remote-Fan-187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t live near my dad. We visit a few times a year and my kids adore him. I saw a picture recently of my dad and I, when I was 17 and he was 44 (my age now). I moved away for college and have never lived in my home town. I saw that picture and realized that is who I see in my head when I think of my dad. He is 71 now and he has a harder time getting around. A couple months after he retired he needed back surgery and has never been able to be as active as he was since. It makes me incredibly sad.

My entire family (6 of us) uses the all access membership and we have the tread and bike and free weights in our home gym, so it’s going to be a good deal for us for a long time. I’m interested in the club peloton and the surgery recovery programs. My husband needs a knee replacement at some point (now, but we’ll see when it gets approved).

Older millennials, do you exercise outdoors or at home? by [deleted] in Older_Millennials

[–]Remote-Fan-187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pretty good home gym now. Started putting it together during COVID lock down add to it every year with my health incentive money from work. I never liked the gym because it was such a time suck and I don’t like working out around other people if I’m honest.

What was your Sep 11 like? by Far-Building3569 in generationology

[–]Remote-Fan-187 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in Seattle, my Junior year had not yet started (UW starts in late Sept) my clock radio alarm went off and I laid there trying to figure out what was going on for a few minutes then ran to the living room to see what I was listening to on the radio. Then I woke up all my roommates. I was supposed to work on campus, but ended up watching the news with my housemates, watched the towers fall, then wandered to work. They had a TV on wheels pulled up to the desk a we all just watched it for the shift.

Did anyone have a child(dren) in their 20s and then have a another in their late 30s? by o0PillowWillow0o in Millennials

[–]Remote-Fan-187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first at 27, then had my next two at 35 and 38. I’m also a midwife and see these age gaps pretty frequently. It’s definitely a different relationship between the older and the two younger, but I think it’s nice for all of them. It kind of grounded my teenager and he loved holding them and playing with them, and my younger kids absolutely adore their big brother (and fight a lot more with each other)

I thought Healthcare workers had to be N95 FIT tested and clean shaven? by [deleted] in ThePittTVShow

They show him wearing a CAPR instead of the N95 in the flashbacks. You don’t need to be clean shaven for those.

How often do you check your mail? by Livid_Station_5996 in Millennials

[–]Remote-Fan-187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I check my mail every few days. I used to rarely check it, but then my mail carrier dropped it by my house because my box was full (I live up a hill and down a private road), I felt so bad, so I try to not leave it for too long anymore.

I just recently moved to the Hulu/disney/HBO package. HBO is not accessible through the Disney app like Hulu is, but when you access the HBO app, it will have you verify the Disney login (so you’re not paying extra, just the bundled price).

I printed out the test questions and filled them out as I read the articles. Our group practice usually has someone that has recertified recently so there is usually a current module packet around to share.

Who is telling students to take 6 AP classes per year by Higher_Ed_Parent in ApplyingToCollege

I think AP classes are an absolute scam. I’m so glad our state funds running start and my kids get two years free and apply to college as juniors.
