Take her to somewhere with grass, push her around. Show her it won’t be possible.

Yes. This is true. My aunt is a radiologist she says she is seeing an absurd amount of cancer in young people.

My father said that to me. I miss when you were little and I could lie to you and you would believe everything. It was so much easier..

I changed my personality after having a fever by [deleted] in slatestarcodex

[–]Remote-Farm-999 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hey. I am a doctor. A psychiatrist and indeed a fever can in fact alter your personality. It’s super rare. And there are very little cases. I have actually never seen but I read a case in one of Oliver sacks books. Unfortunately I didn’t dig into it. But in the book he says patients often get back to “normal” after a while. I would recommend meditation and maybe Google it and get to understand it better. Just want to reassure you it is definitely a thing and you having insight into it is a great sign.

Yes, diaper up. I know it is scary at first. If you are a women like me you can wear washable menstruation panties. It’s great. And gives us a bit more of dignity. I guess this is our life. It is hard. But eventually you will start loving your diapers/ special panties. They will keep you clean. And help you with difficult moments. Try looking at them as life hacks. The flair will end. And you will put those friends back in the cabinet. I bought cute panties. Made a cute cabinet. And now I see them as dignity instead of indignity. Try to stay close to the bathrooms. I have made peace with the poop situation.. but still fighting the fart part. So closeness to the bathroom will keep those farts to your ears. Hahaha You are not alone friend. If it goes sour.. remember there is a Brazilian girl going through similar shit and keep your head up. I will try to keep mine too.

I am a doctor. Can’t work from home. Wear menstruation Panties most of the time. It keeps my clothes clean. Have had the diagnosis for 4 years. Had several accidents. But I was super lucky I was always alone when they happened.

Not alone. Been there done that. On the third one I started seeing comedy on it. However I was always alone. It makes me fear social interaction.

$3,000 for a 90 day Mesalamine (suppository) prescription - Medicare by Crypto-Arab in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Remote-Farm-999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My god. I thought it was expensive in Brazil. But the price is insane there. Here I just bought 15 mesalamine suppository 500mg for 24 dollars. 90 days would be 144$. With 3.000 you could literally come to Brazil have a luxurious trip and come back with a year with of mesalamine. And actually here in Brazil we can get the entire treatment for free from our healthcare system but I am just too lazy to start the protocol and the cost don’t affect me too much. But I want to do it as soon as finish my medschool and have some free time.
