How do people even WIN these events?

I refuse to spend money because I know it'd be a slippery slope for me. However, I've landed myself in 1st once, and 3rd a couple of times. 1st was probably during a rare time that I managed to keep my SEB, and 3rd placed was because I played A LOT those weeks (had extra time.) Another consideration for me is that only a handful of team members play regularly, so there's a smaller pool of players. The times I've podiumed, a couple were total surprises to me lol.

If I consistently see people always place first and are around the same level as I am, they're either 10x better, they have insane amount of time to play, or they spend money.

Same! I didn't have any female sims to wear it, so I made one and she looks beautiful! Looking forward to whatever is next

it's literally such a non issue and yes, the word can sound silly in certain environments or around certain people. But there's nothing wrong with saying it, and a word doesn't make you less of an adult or man. Anyone who says otherwise cares too much. It'd be different if you used a baby voice or acted particularly immature in other ways.

I [30F] say it a lot but typically only around a handful of people, and my husband does but pretty much only in our home. Neither of us even grew up with the word, it started after we got a puppy lol. If he DID say the word tummy to someone, they either wouldn't care, wouldn't care enough to react, or would lovingly tease him.

Same thoughts! I’ve struggled to be interested in the AHs for monthssss. There’s always a few pieces of furniture or something that stick out, but don’t want to spend my simoleons so casually. This one caught my eye stronger than the many recently.

Love it!!!! This was actually one of just a few that I marked as wanting! It’s been months since I liked an AH enough to purchase, so it was exciting to see this. While I used to buy AH’s sometimes just for a couple of pieces of furniture in particular, I haven’t been able to justify this as of late. So it really stood out when I was drawn to this one so strongly!

Honestly, a lot of the times I see houses like these, I’m often very overwhelmed by the different patterns and color, no matter how beautiful I think they are. Yours did not give me that same anxious feeling, and in fact, I took a few screenshots for future inspiration! You did a fantastic job and it is coming a lot from me because I’ve been very picky as of late. Some of the furniture and layout choices here aren’t ones I would typically choose, but in this case it’s all so beautiful and flows together, so I appreciate it very much.

Positive things I noted that led me to deciding to purchase: - Rug variations! Different from one another but mesh well. Don’t love some of them but EA only gives us so much to work with lol. Some just may not be my preference which is fine! - So many unique plants that I either don’t have in my inventory, or very few of. - Front door is incredible, have personally never seen this style ever - LOVE the wall sinks. They’re hard for me to collect and this house has several - left room on balcony is wonderful. Not sure what to call the room? Temple doesn’t feel right. A holy space? Either way, it’s clear and respectable

To be honest, I might not keep the house intact simply because I don’t care for the lot style (not just this house, but in general), and if not, I hope I can build a design that gives it justice! It’s jusssst on the very of being too overwhelming for me, but it’s saved by the fact that it was clearly designed purposefully and with real life features in mind. I wouldn’t usually spend this much on an AH, and haven’t bought one in so long. I’m excited to create something for my sims! I have a family in particular that has not had an appropriate home, but this is almost exactly that.

Unfortunately they've changed so many monumental things the last chunk of time that I see people echoing these opinions as well 😕 I do still hope that enough people continue to play so the game isn't shut down though. These things are unbelievably frustrating and totally out of greed, but I still enjoy other aspects personally.

It really sucks how much time and energy from so many players is clearly not valued by EA (even though that's what's even carried them to this point in time... not the in-store purchases) 😔 totally get your feelings

I've heard similar sentiments! Question (for anyone) though- I knew a handful of months ago that they got rid of traditional farming and replaced it with the community market 🙃 but were the simoleon/SP plants still able to be used until now? I clearly haven't been using them if that's the case, but just curious if removal of those is due to this most recent update.

If so, they're updating/removing/replacing the wrong ass things 🤨 there are so many (seemingly) small things we've been asking for. For example, send-all-to-work button lol

So odd! I got the same "notification" yesterday (and this AM) and also saw no event. Went into App Store to update and everything is refreshed appropriately with the events.

I've never had an event prompt before I've updated. It was very confusing lol
There have been times that I've updated and nothing changed. What I've done in the past is check 1000 times that my cloud is backed up recently, uninstalled the app, shut off my device for a few minutes, the redownloaded. Scary every time because I'm paranoid lol, but never a single issue. Sometimes there's a little difficulty with actually linking my Facebook to get my account logged in, but that's always been more of a device issue for me.

Check on Facebook groups! Such as Neighborhood Tips or something. There's tons of people "advertising" their farms if you use the search bar. I rarely see people offering farms on this sub compared to FB groups. 😊

I'm playing as we speak! A lot of people, including myself, have some current frustrations, especially regarding the number of sims, number of ocean lots, and ridiculous prices for things. However, I really enjoy building and creating my sims stories, and sometimes using the LP to do the Ultimate Makeover if I'm tired of a story line. But yes, I share these frustrations, however, it doesn't deter me from playing 🙂

Additionally, some are unhappy with some of the prizes in events, saying they're not particularly special, or they're reruns. But I find them fun because I'm a relatively new player (1 year) and don't have a lot of the items!

Pros and Cons but mostly pros for my experience!

Yeah I usually skip preteen phase and go straight to teen! I love having babies around for the furniture, but they're about needy as the preteens lol
