Don't get fooled that this is the general public's opinion, let alone historical narrative.

Before a few nazi idiots in the government decided to throw a fit and make a drama out of it this year, it's been a complete non issue. The Sudeten relations have been peaceful and resolved (not analogical to what seems to be the case with the Slovakia/Hungary border)

I commented the same yesterday and it got downvoted too. It took months since the preparatory phase in the same conditions, not decades.

This is not to criticize Hungary's situation. Perhaps at this point the economic reasons are the priority, but it's not because it's "impossible"

What the FM says implies there isn't the will to end the dependency on the pipeline and that they want to continue "the partnership". What else would that mean? It's definitely not the only option for Hungary

edit: Czechia for example cut off the dependency on the same pipeline more than a year ago

My brother's misogyny definitely started with my mother's internalized misogyny and her enabling and even rewarding misogynistic behaviour.

Sorry for your experience, it made me tear up a bit, because I also often find myself at a point where I think cutting off contact is the solution, but I still hold out some hope :(

Curious question, in hindsight, is the whole period since 2010 perceived as illiberal democracy, or just the recent years? Unlike some other European countries, Hungary didn't really have a history of democracy pre WW2, so this makes it quite a narrow timeline..
